Hey Everyone,

A few months back soon after I got the MM I replaced the stock headlights with HIDs from DDM, as well as purchased new fog housings and DDM bulbs for them as well. However I only replaced the headlights at the time.

When I purchased the car 1 fog light was out, so I never turned my foglights on, just figuring I would replace them with HID at some point and that would fix it.

Anyways at some point I remember my other fog also going out and neither turning on. However I don't know if it was before or after the HID change...

So anyways tonight I am swapping the fogs out, and when I got to wiring checked the voltage to find.... No Power... So I checked the other light...still nothing, looked at the fuses under the dash, pulled the fog fuse and replaced...still nothing.

So my questions:
1. Could something during the HID install have screwed up the fog wiring or is it completly seperate?
2. Where all should I check besides under the dash for fuses/relays? Anything inline? I did remove the connector (since I was gonna hardwire the foglights in) on the factory harness, so it shouldn't be the connector just being rusted etc (also there is no rust on this car...yet :( )
3. Any other thoughts/ideas? I disconnected and reconnected the headlight switch..nothing, tried turning the fogs on with the switch in different positions (headlight, parking, auto). I would have to have to run a seperate wire harness...

There are actually 2 relays which control the foglight power supply. The first one enables the foglights only when the headlights are turned on. The 2nd relay disables the foglights when the high-beams are engaged (legal requirement). Either one of these relays could be shot, though that's unlikely unless you've been driving with
your one-eyed fog turned on for a long time :fishslap:

Both relays reside in the main power distribution block, next to the battery. There are a few relays in there that are all the same. Try swapping them around and see if that solves yer problem. If one of them is bad, make sure to replace it, or you'll disable whatever circuit it ends up on.

Just an FYI....

There is no power to the foglights unless the key is in the "RUN" position.

FBM - you hit on the problem, didn't realize I had to have the key in run to turn them on...thats wierd.

Also lets hope I never have to replace one of those relays in a hurry! Talk about hard to remove!!!
