Thinking if softening up the front with the PI police springs instead of the factory HPP springs.

Then use them with new stiff shocks.

What do ya'll think?

It might sit too tall up front.

Wont the RAS just pump up a bit more? I'm thinking 1" higher would be ok.

Our cars came with the stiffest tallest riding front springs in the Panther line up, the P71 versions. HPP are slightly stiffer and shorter than the base springs which are the softest and the middle length.

P71 springs have an about 1" higher ride height than base and the HPP are about 1/2" lower than base.

The rear bags are also the stiffest made and they are also used in the HPP cars and TCs with the Livery or Limo prep package.

The Marauder shares the 325 lbs/in spring rate of the -06.5 P71 but the spring is shorter so the car is lowered 1" from the standard Grand Marquis and 2" from the P71.

The 06.5- P71 came with 475 lbs/in front springs and are the stiffest made from the factory for the Panther platform.

If you want a softer ride and 1" higher ride height then just get standard Grand Marquis springs.

I was thinking of running those springs with stiffer shocks and new endlinks etc. Will I loose a lot of handling by using a regular GM spring? I'm sure too that new MM springs would make my car sit higher and not be as harsh -- as I know they are tired.

What is the spring rate of the Grand Marquis springs?

The base GM springs are 220 lbs/in. As far as effect on handling there will definitely be some effect but the Marauder has a larger diameter front sway bar than the GM so I expect the handling will still be ok.
