I paid 21k for my 13k mile DTR in 08', 35k in mods, I guess I'm an idiot too.

maybe what he paid was too much, but he paid what he was comfortable paying, and got what he wanted. He wants 20k, while that may be more than the car is worth, if someone HAS to have THAT car, and the have the money, I say more power to them.

My car has a 330 with ~300hp. So it must be worth at least 30k, right? ;)

Here's the most important point though: most people who actually frequent this site would prefer to be buried in their MM, so rising value is of ZERO concern.

I'd expect a spike in another 2-3 years, when high mileage daily drivers start driving themselves into the ground. If that's true and his car doesn't pick up any more miles, then it's possible.

Also marauders tend to get totaled in crashes over 40mph. Remember totaled is relative so the temptation to 'junk' a car will thin the herd until the price of intact car goes up.

In the case of Marauders, supply may be high right now, but that is temporary. Demand is more or less inelastic. For example Impalas have not spiked up but there are 68,000 of them to start with. 3-4k of the original 11k Marauders will not be around in 3 years. Personally I think he may be right if he can leave it in the driveway for three years, that is. He's just early.
