I have been running the basic low end headlamps for many years (2006) due to the silver star type melted my headlamp sockets and both sides failed together.
One was burned out just recently, so I sprung for the dual pack of XHE ? Sylvania ultra Xenon blue headlamps.
The FLAPS had ten bucks off sale@ Advance Auto, plus I got 15% off for ordering on line. They are a nice improvement in briteness and of course they emit the blue light, I just hope they remain trouble free and are more stable than my past experience with them.

In a lot of states, having "Blue" headlight is not legal. A lot of the ricers were do that with there headlights and getting pulled over and ticketed for just that thing.
anyone wanting to do this, should look at you State laws, as well as County and City,
Particularly if you set them up as wig wags. Than the fur flys.

Ding Ding Ding.

The problem with these "performance" halogen bulbs is sure yeah they can throw out more light than a standard halogen bulb but by doing so it gives up a lot of life.

HID 4300k to 6000K is 2.2 to 3x brighter than a standard halogen bulb, runs at 35 watts (55 watts is over kill in halogen headlamp housing) which means it draws less current/amps, runs cooler, will last longer and allows you to see more of the road.

You was probably using the ultras 55watt to much

Jesus, the blue lights look and perform terrible. Just switch to HIDs. 4.5-5k.

FastBlackMerc has a kit with full instructions. Other sites around the net do as well. ijdmtoys.com has some.

I have DDM, but FBM also has a kit. No modification to headlamp housing, but you do have to do a little wittling for the fog light package, nothing major by any means though. FBM will also do the full foglight mod I believe, if you don't want to try it yourself.

I was running Piaa headlights for years and one blew. Went to change it and the other side and the sockets were gooey and wouldn't make good connection to the new bulbs without cleaning the contacts.

Problem with "go with HID" is FHP. I switched out to hid in my ranger, properly aimed them and they weren't blue, pure white. Got pulled over at 2am on I-95 for lights being too bright (like high beams) and then trooper inspected and noticed hid bulb. $127 ticket for improper bulb in halogen housing. Wanted to switch out the Marauder but after that ticket I was reluctant. After I took the hids out of the truck, I installed projectors and love the light output much better. Marauder is next.

I did not know you had a system for the headlamps, I thought it was fogs only.

I had the blue lights and was not happy. Went back to stock. Glad I saved them.

You can install a HID kit in your headlights. I can get you a kit (any temperature), and will provide installation instructions with picture. The kit is pretty much plug-n-play. I will provide some tips to make the installation better.

I can also get HIDs for the foglights. I offer a service to make your foglights a true plug-n-play installation. See the thread in the Marauder Innovations forum.

PM me if you have any questions.
