The pic of the new Viper...I just hadda take it. Somebody's infant got loose and crawled right up to the grille. Evidently his parents never taught him that yer not supposed to play with snakes....

The two Mustangs in that last post are a Mystic Clearcoat Cobra convertible and a Grabber Orange Mach I. Figured LML, since he was talkin' about it a few months back, would be interested in the Mach.
Now for the BIG DOG!:

I had a picture of the "Terminator" Toyota Truck that was built by Monster Garage...it was there too, close by the L-M display. But the filesize was too big to upload, so I hadda leave it off. Looks kooky. Jesse James wasn't there, tho...
Okay, Story Time. After spending a buncha time educating people about the DTR that was on display (that was interesting..."Oh, it's just a hopped-up Grand Marquis." "No ma'am. Lemme explain a little...."), I tracked down a rep from Dave Sinclair Lincoln-Mercury (West County) Sinclair has a huge base of operations around STL; I regularly use their South County outlet on South Lindbergh Drive. I think 93tealcobra used to work in one of their bodyshops in the St. Charles area. Anyway, I talked to one Aaron Boyer from the West County dealership. He seemed to be fairly well experienced in Marauders, telling me that he'd sold about 10 or 11 of an available 13 that they had at one time.
I asked him about the rumors of a supercharged MM in 2005. He said that he'd heard of an optional dealer-installed package for turbocharging available for the 2004s, but he hadn't heard anything about 2005 yet. Interestingly enough, he did NOT deny that there would be a production run for the 2005 model year. (You all can conjure with that as you like.) I asked him who was supplying the parts for the dealer package (I figured he might say Trilogy, or maybe even Kenny Brown). He said he didn't know. I proceeded to educate him a little; told him about VT Engines and their work, and his eyes got pretty wide when I told that VT had reached the 550-hp mark with theirs. I encouraged him to come on to this website; gave him my handle and LML's too, because Rick is "the other button holder", and he's local to this area. Aaron gave me his card; depending on the responses to this thread, I'll post his email and work phone so those of you more in touch can call him up and hold forth at some longer length on our mutually favorite subject.
BTW, that DTR that was at the show is going out to the West County dealership...
