No more Marauder...

...at least for the next TWO WEEKS! Man... I pointed out a few paint flaws when I took the car in for the new shifter plate, front bumper alignment, rear door rattle/carpet. They brought out the body shop guy and he saw all the spots I marked up with a temporary marker crayon (so I didn't loose them and look like an ass when I got there) and nearly freaked and ordered the car to be brought in for "total makeover." The spots weren't THAT bad, but evidentally this guy expected perfection. In a way I guess that's a good thing, but I'm not quite sure what "total makeover" means still... I miss my baby, and it's only been day three! THIS SUCKS! My car had better be perfect when I get her back, or I'll demand free mods! :D Yah, like that's gunna happen... So, bear with me fellas if I'm not in the "perkiest" of moods with my responses... (I know that probably wouldn't be a problem for some! :rolleyes: ) Excuse me while I go cry... :( :( :( (Logan, we NEED a crying smilie!)

Does this correct the problem with shifting the car into reverse? Is there a bulletin out on it or is it a word of mouth?

No, I never had any shifting problems. I've even left it purposely half way in R and it still hooks into R. I HOPE they didn't mess it up. They were ONLY supposed to replace the plate, it had a scratch over the 1 in the glass...

I had my MM back to the dealer today to resolve my mismatched tail lights. It was parked on the service drive inside and it was a parade of dealership personnel checking out the manufacturer goof. They didn't have a tail light in stock so they whipped in another Marauder behind mine and changed it right on the service drive. I hope they remember to change it back out on the Marauder they parted out for mine-----or they'll be another owner in the future posting here about their "Grand Marauder".

LOL! They didn't do that for my shifter plate... I guess it would be too much trouble to rip one out, chance messing it up, rip mine out and put the parted one in. Along with the other stuff... Only took them a little over a week to get the part in though. Still curious as to how my paint is going to look after all is said and done though... :(

I've had my MM for a while and i've noticed the subwoofer problem and also the the problem of not shifiting into reverse as smoothly. Has anybody on the list resolved the reverse problem?

I'm also having the shifter problem. Hard to find reverse after coming out of Drive. I've told dealership but I'm going to wait until first service. It just seems tight and felt linkage may change after a little drive time.

Speaking of which NYS, at first they didn't because it was only supposed to be 2 days, that is untill the paint guy saw all my marks... We had a little POS Escort SE that smelled like a $5 whore, I kid you not! I took the car back yesterday and demanded a new car after hearing the news! I had the choice of a 2003 Lincoln Town Car Executive or a 2003 Ford Explorer XLT. Since it was snowing pretty bad at the time, I took the Explorer... I HATE what they've done with the Town Car anyway (origanally being a Lincoln ONLY man...). The Explorer is nice. and actually pretty comfortable for an SUV. That all independant suspension REALLY makes a difference! It's pretty stuck to the road too, kinda found it hard to do a doughnut... :D (It's got "automatic" 4X4, it's like having AWD, but you do have the options on 4H and 4L.)

I always liked the AWD, got that on my Mountaineer. Glad they gave you a nice car, they should have but we all know each dealer is different
