Anyone know what color this is 1W3Z-5404567-AAE? Mine is scratched up so I asked my dealer for a new one (1W3Z-5404567-AAC) but he said it was replaced by 1W3Z-5404567-AAE and he wasn't sure what color that was. Anyone have a clue before I fork out the dough?

fordpartsgiant has one complaint on the BBB. Its around this same type of issue. Fordpartsgiant won't gaurantee the color in case of a replacement for an obsolete part number. So I still have to decide if I'm taking the chance on the AAE as it is listed as the replacement number.

A good body shop can use a computer to look at a color and match it perfectly.
My guy even told me how much medal flake I added to a stock color, and even
the type of paint I used Glasurit (BASF Company). Try a custom paint body shop.
You should get a perfect match there.

Technically they are called spectrometers and are referred to in the business as a "prophet." They read paint colors and give the code for the paint mixer.

They are pretty neat. Most automotice paint suppliers have them and can custom mix dyes for painting plastic trim parts.
