This improvement shoud be on everyone must do list. Two birds one stone. The gas filter needs to be changes every so many miles anyway. The dreaded 180 degree rubber hose bend that could collaps. Also more fuel in a larger filter on tap is all a good thing.

Should be able to do yourself. Larger filter, the right hose and a few clamps .

When you get rid of the plastic 90 degree bends on the front side of the line closest to the motor you will need to take a boxed end wrench and gently pry to bring the angle of the hard line down to full horizontal which will allow the lines to fit better plus have a straight line for fuel. No one told me about bending the line down so I cut some of it off :mad2: but mine still works just fine after 10 k miles. Also have got a few CEL for fuel pressure being higher than the tune parameters.

I have this mod as well, this is a must for these cars weather you get the parts as a kit, or buy the parts your self.

So question to all does this effect performance or just have to clear code???

I want to do this mod but if I have to clear it every other week or it effects performance when I throw this code then I say it's a no go.

I have a stock tune and no mods to fuel system.

It it in no way lessens the performance, it can only increase it especially if you have a tune.

It's basically a dummy code to let you know that there was a fuel pressure problem, though it is not a problem it is just the fuel pressure sensor reading the pressure higher than what is allowed in the tune or stock tune. I want to say I've only gotten the code 2 or 3 times since I did this mod. One I remember was when I went WOT and the other was just a cold morning startup. Clear the code and off I went.

It shouldn't affect performance.

Throws a code because the fuel pressure / flow is higher that the table / parameter(s) in the computer. I assume it can be fixed by adjusting the table in the tune.
