about 15,000 miles ago my air compressor went up....upon removing the compressor, not knowing any better, i cut the air line about 6" from the compressor:o and manually pumped it up via the home air compressor method.....well, now its coming time to fix this issue with a new compressor from arnott, however i need to somehow connect the 2 lines back together. is there a way to do this, or do i need to replace the entire air line? also, i pumped up the suspension 3 times in total over the course of 15,000 miles...it very slowly loses pressure(like over the course of a few months i'll lose 2 inches), i know that moisture is a killer for the system, and the small pancake compressor i used doesn't have an air dryer, so should i replace the bags with the compressor, even though they seem to be holding pressure for a decent amount of time? any help is appreciated, especially on the cut air line, thanks--whitey

I know they make splices for hard plastic air-line. Noodle around on the interweb and you should find them.

As for the condensation/moisture issue, since you haven't been pumping the system up and down frequently, you're *probably* alright, but there's really no way to tell for sure other than to replace the bags and solenoids.

Push connect tubing fittings are available at MD and HD truck parts suppliers though maybe not in that small of diameter. The other option is a compression fitting from your local hardware store. You will need to use the insert sleeve and because of that again they may not have them that small. If you have a local supplier for Parker they should have it too. The local shop I use for making hoses has 10' of shelving just of the push to connect style. http://www.parker.com/portal/site/PARKER/menuitem.de7b26ee6a659c147cf26 710237ad1ca/?vgnextoid=fcc9b5bbec622110Vgn VCM10000032a71dacRCRD&vgnextfmt=default&vgnextdiv=&vgnextcatid=196163&vgnextcat=32PTC++UNION&Wtky=FITTINGS There is a find a distributor link on that page.

i got it!, thank you guys. i went with a company that uses the "parker" fittings called "colliflower"....the fitting is labled--PRESTOLOK 3/16"--its a stainless coupling that is good for up to 300psi, and uses the same type of 'push ring/pull out hose' technique that is used for removing the air line from the compressor. --whitey
