1st buyer fell through, 2nd buyer fell through.(Kept his deposit though :P)
Reposting this, tons of interest, nobody ready to buy.
Car has roughly $10,000 in mods/tuning. Asking $18,500
Yup. The time has come. Time for new project. Those of you who know me or have seen my car know the condition of it and what exactly it is capable of.
Here is the rundown.
Vortech V2 T Trim Supercharger currently running 12psi @ 518 rwhp
The car runs 11.736@118.03 (11.736@118.03) Currently #18 on timeslip page!
The goods:
Vortech V2 T Trim Supercharger currently running 12psi @ 518 hp
Kooks headers, X-Pipe full exhaust, Magnaflows. Sounds amazing.
PI 3,500 torque convertor
Detroit Eaton Tru-Trac differential (Look ma! No one legged burnouts!)
FMS 4.10 gears
Kenny Bell Boost a Pump
GT500 Fuel Pump
39lb injectors
Rear tires have 2,600 miles on them
Front tires are new, just mounted this week. (stock hard to find size!)
New Brakes.
CHE Sparta Control Arms
Matching Boost gauge in place of stock volt gauge.
Three belts (Stock, 9psi & 12psi)
Larger pulley for less boost
Reinhart EZ swap pulley change tool
Ice Vex intercooler.
All pipes are black powdercoat
Blower head is POLISHED.
XCal 3 Tuner. Loaded with stock tune, emission tune, street tune, and RACE 104 octane tune.
Bigger fan.
Bundle of other goodies that im probably forgetting.
All pulleys are LASER aligned. NEVER shred, lost, rubbed, snapped, or chewed a belt.
Comes with two (2) Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials mounted on CVPI rims. 16 passes with them.
6 disk truck CD changer
Two (2) still new in box side marker lenses/lights
Factory rear spoiler
All stock parts included.
The car is just amazing, period. Its a ****ing monster. Tame enough for daily driver duties, but unleash Hell when you get on it. My wife even drives it ocasionally when I'm with her.
Super clean, real head turner.
Car has 52,000 or so miles on it. Have to check, its been a while!
The rear seats look like they have never been sat in. The front is meticulous. The trunk carpet has some wear from drag radials and tools going in and out. Just change the carpet if you like in the trunk, easy fix.
I love this car. I mean, its probably the best car I have ever owned.
I put the blower on (licensed CT mechanic) and had it dynoed, tuned, and looked over by Dennis Reinhart himself, who said it was a PERFECT install.
Plug and oil changes were always done meticulously.
Car kept garaged and detailed 3x a year.
Nothing else I can really say about it. It will smack around about 95% of the cars on the road. My car runs 11.7 on one of the countries most notorious slow tracks. A new 2011 Z06 Vette runs 11.6.
So there you go.
Serious inquiries only please, IM me or email me at paulycicero@gmail.com (paulycicero@gmail.com)
Car is located in central CT.
Thanks everyone, happy new year to all.

I wish I could afford this car. It would be nice to buy one already done.

How many 1/4 mile passes would you say are on the car? I'm looking for a blown low mile Rauder. I want to get into something that i will have minimal to zero problems with. I've been looking at "FruitPunch" but it seems like Dennis has a possible buyer lined up. I'll have the money in place shortly and i'm starting to look for one now.

Would it happen to be you? I'm kicking my self in the ass for not speaking up earlier. When he made the post in Novemember i said to my self "i want that car". Now the funds are available and the car may not be. :mad2:His E mail reply to me today was like a gut punch when i read it.

I've been to the track six times with it, maybe 25 passes or so. Feel free to go through the car top to bottom. Turn the key and go. I have all the timeslips, and dyno graphs. I'm very, very particular about my cars.

(I was the first who fell through) Unfortunately, the time wasn't right. And for all intensive purposes, would have been a big mistake on my part considering recent events (dads not doing very well).
However, this car is everything he says it is. The seats look like new, carpeting is immaculate, ride/handing is like it was when new, and the sound is makes is INTOXICATING! You'd be hard pressed to find a better example anywhere else...
I wish you luck with it, and hope they're no hard feelings.

Thanks for the kind words, Lenny. No hard feelings at all, things happen. Im in no rush to sell, but it would be nice to have more room in the garage. Im sticking with the price because as you know, its worth every penny.

Gentlemen:
In all due respect, this car is awesome. It looks great, runs like a race car, and it prestine for a Marauder. I am just not convinced this engine can take the beating of a supercharger. In my opinion, it's just a matter of time before the rods are bent, cam problem or another internal problem. If the engine were removed and completely rebuilt with race proven components, these after market attachments don't impress me.
Sorry. :(

What are you new? These engines have MORE than proven themselves with forced induction for YEARS! And why do you feel the need to trash a thread on a stand up member? He would never sell junk.

^^lol really? Do a search these motors will handle 450 np. Lots of owners here at that power level;) With lots of miles on the OE motor. 500+ your tempting fate. Tune and good fuel and your good. Not sure what to make of your second comment other than what would impress you?

All...
My opinion is based on the number of Maruaders that I've attempted to purchase and later learned of the engines were rebuilt due to too much thrashing. If you want a race car, go build one. If you desire to appreciate these cars for their design, keep it stock and enjoy it.
By the way, I just love the respectful remarks to my honest post. I wouldn't have expected such a disgusting and provoking response from so many people that claim to enjoy the "sport." My mistake.....

Problem is, there are too MANY case studies on this board that prove you wrong
Many of this cars are S/C and modded with zero problems outside of routine maintenance, including the one for sale.
You bashed on it with your opinion which is not fact in a thread that he's trying to sell his car in, how did you expect we would respond?
Offer you flowers and kiss your ring?

Your opinion is based upon pure observation and no intelligence of your own.
There are countless cars running around with stock motors well over 100k and forced induction and they are completely fine as long as people don't get greedy for more power and/or push the tune.
If you stop, read and do more research you will learn this.
Also keep in mind, folks only post when they have a problem. Rarely do you see posts of people stating how happy they are they haven't had problems.
Stick to Pintos, they're more up your alley.

How many, pray tell, and were they all S/C'd? (I'm guessing one, maybe two cars, and without any history on them, the S/C installation, if so equipped, etc. that opinion is just that: opinion). I guess Marauderjack's, Zack's, Bradley G's (and dozens more S/C'd) still running strong at or well over 100K miles don't counter that opinion, huh?
Yeah, 240 rwhp vs 420+ rwhp, I can see your point, bone stock is MUCH more enjoyable... ------> :sleepy:

I just love how we handle matters (others who are ---Cheese said it best---clueless-) here when one claims specifics without specifics............now onward............
I just wish he was asking more---say in the range of $22,500.cause mine is somewhat identical to his but with built motor.....just need retune and smaller pully for much ,much more......cause it would help if he did...................just saying..............
carry on..........

TUNE,TUNE,TUNE!! These motors WITH a good tune can take a helluva lot of beating from all types of power adders. There is no doubt and very well proven, I myself have had 2 F/I MM's with no problems along with many others members on here.

Yes. I have been a member for five years and have read all the posts throughout that time. I am not trashing the seller, simply offering fact.
Based on five years of posts, this engine can't take the beating equal to a race proven and built Ford motor. Plugging $5K into a Ford big block doesn't bring happiness. The posts have shown this motor to fail, bent rods and failed oil pumps when you force induce this block to.... prove what? It's not built for the track and those that chose to pack too much into this block have failed. Buyers beware.
Yes, I think sending flowers and avoiding the negative and frivolous comments would benefit everyone. It just shows your true colors and lack of respect to others when your "club house" is questioned. I hope the web moderator reads your trash comments. :)

Dear Martyo:
Oh. I guess you are the expert yet calling me an idiot for posting a comment is alright? If you are so sure, I'll cut/paste the comment regarding bent rods on this motor for those that experienced problems. It's fact and I offered these facts along with my opinion of turning this car into a 1/4 mile strip winner. Do you talk this way to customers at your speed shop? Probably so....

WTF are you talking about a big block for?
FI has nothing to do with failed oil pumps, RPM kills oil pumps n/a or boosted.
Rods don't bend, they break, usually after a piston has blown apart due to a bad tune or abuse.
How many motors have you built from the bare block up?
Do you even own a Marauder or performance car?
You offer opinions with zero first-hand knowledge or experience.
Respect is earned, thus far you've done zero to earn mine hence the reason you're getting very direct responses.

281 cu. in = big block?
Forced induction bends rods?
A blower causes oil pump failures? :dunno:
IF these motors fail when S/C'd, the cause is invariably related to tuning (too much timing) or lean (not enough fuel) conditions; but the same can happen on a NA motor with too much timing.
I hope the moderators read your goofy posts, too, they enjoy a bit of daily humor as well...

Now that this "FOR SALE" thread is completely trashed, I will copy the thread, deleting anything not related to actual interest in the car itself. This is the problem in using a "for sale" with a regular forum format. Unless you're interested or have questions about the car as it sit, you have no business posting in this thread. Take your discussions about engines to a new thread and don't derail the sale, please.
And another thing, ppinto was expressing his opinion and the way you all jump down his throat because of his "opinion" was wrong. It was disappointing to read the comments. No wonder he hasn't posted much. Have we not learned to handle differing opinions in a respectful manner? This goes for everyone posting in this derailment.
