Ford partnumbers

How can i decode Ford part numbers? The only, what i can find in www is for old models. My part numbers begins with 3W3Z e.g.

Ford part numbers in the distant past were, the first group was the first year the part was used, (by code) then model, the second group was the automobile system, (brake system Etc.) and specific part, the third group I forget now, it's been 35 years.

That is the engineering number.

3W3Z is just one of a few (first four digits sets) that only fit 2003-04 Marauders. Knowing a smart/friendly Ford/Mercury parts guy would/could give you others. I find most numbers when searching for OEM Marauder parts on Ebay (some sellers list the OEM P/N). There are some others (first for digits sets) that will fit your car, but they will be parts that are common with other models (CV, GM and others).
Another of your 3W3Z is 3W3Z-13008-DA (driver side headlight) and 3W3Z-13008-CA (passenger side headlight).
If anyone knows more Marauder unique first 4 digits please share with me and others.
