Low n behold, a leaky front shock. I see these are struts. Do the shocks come out separately or are they serviced like conventional struts as an assembly?
This car's original owner had all the shocks replaced under warranty.
Thanks!

Gotta remove the entire spring/shock assembly.
Need a tool to compress the spring then shock can be removed.
They are not struts they are coil over shocks. However like struts they are removed as an assembly and a spring compressor is required to remove the spring from the shock.

Whatthey said. ^^^^
If you're going to do it yourself, make sure you've got a good quality spring compressor.

I would recommend doing these in pairs.

Thanks for the confirmation and agreed, pairs would be the only way Id do it. I did see some great threads on shocks and a pdf of part #'s. Anyone that's had them shop done care to share what it costs? You guys rock.

Was the work done during the factory warranty period Don? I only ask because Ford extended warranties are transferable since you mentioned that you are not the original owner, just a thought. :)
