I am considering putting a tuner chip in my, now stock, 2004 DTR. Does anyone have any experience with this? Recently looked at the GTE tuner chip from performance chips direct.com. Any comments would be appreciated.

I would suggest contacting Lidio at Alternative Auto Performance (a vendor on this site and well respected) He has tunes specific for our Marauders in a hand held device. (SCT) Give him a call and get more info. Not sure about chips or if they are worth it.

Feel free to stop by our shop.
We work on/tune Marauders all the time.
A custom dyno tune with street driving as well will always beat a mail order tune.
Ask PonyUp how his car run (which is similar to yours) runs with our tune.
Plus, if you ever decide to make upgrades, we can offer you a retune price that a mail order tune simply can not touch.

Big plus one, I love my Mo's tune, it is absolutely perfect. Plenty aggressive and perfect for everyday driving. I just got 24.4 to the Gallon with some spirited pedal runs on my way out to Charlotte for New Years.
And Marty's team really knows these cars and does superb work, I HIGHLY recommend Mo's, they do top notch work and it's just fun being out there to check out the rides

Its a peice of cake. superchips comes with directions so easy my wife can do it. All you need to do is locate your fuel pump fuse under the hood and remove it for the instull, follow the instructions on the tuner then replace the fuse.

What is the best speed shop for a tune in the Chicagoland area for a Marauder?

I just have a stock 2004 and want to replace the stock tune from what I understand is not very good. So I would assume a general tune?

I can set you up with a tune if you're interested.
We've tuned more Marauders and Panther platform cars than anyone on the planet.
Feel free to message me.

Feel free to message me.+1 on Marty at Mo's for the tune. We have one and like it a lot as do many members who also have a Mo's tune. Get a hold of Marty as he will have a few questions to ask you about your plans if any for the car, etc. He is a vendor here. :)
So Marty you think you've surpassed Ford on the amount of panther tunes done?;)
