Steering Wheel Column

2003 GM GS
lower steering column looks bent, i can feel the bumps in the steering wheel
Mech. thinks it may have happened when someone replace the rack and pinion and or hit/accident to that area.
steering wheel hass some excess play

Any one have any experience with this replacement?
Do you think i need to replae upper collumn also?

See if the intermediate steering shaft has play.

Third column #12 just above "Engine/Transmission".

#12 is the one is bent. I has play in it, if I grab ahold of it and shake it moves.

I believe it is supposed to look bent. Having play, however, is another story.
