So I got a used cot from spectragod installed it and 6 months later I got air in the system (amen nothing happened) so I was burping the system and found that there's no o-ring on the cot cap!. made 3 trips to the flaps and the rings won't seal right. Called the dealer they don't even know what I'm talking about !. So what's the point to my story watch your rings a cooling system is nothing to play with. And does anyone know where I can find this ring

I found that you have to file the sharp edge inside the receiving end of the plug or it literally cuts the O rings in half. I bought a big container of many different sizes of Viton O-rings at harbor freight for cheap money.

Did the same when I pulled mine apart. Leak free for about 10k now and no issues with air getting into the system..
Was like $5-10 for the kit vs the $20-30 from my local stealership.

I have had to cot cap of a few times I have never noticed a rubber o ring. Are you talking about the cap with the allen head ?

Yes, the COT fill plug. There's a small O-ring on that, an O-ring on each leg that goes into the heads and two O-rings when you pull the COT apart into two seperate pieces. Most people don't know that the COT is actually two pieces. ;)

Yes the cot coolant cap. There's a o-ring for every end that the cot connects to

I only needed to replace the fill plug o ring, but, figured I may as well get a random assortment for the price. http://www.harborfreight.com/205-piece-hnbr-o-ring-kit-67644.html
I have a new Ford 03/04 termi upper rebuild kit that has all the gaskets and rings for heads, Eaton parts, coolant, etc.

I decided to end my COT fill cap woes and went with one of these:

It moves the O-ring deeper, eliminating the edges cutting the O-ring or other fitment issues.
