The owner was even on our site for a short time. Needs a cowl hood to clear that Whipple. Not that POS modified hood. There is a couple of videos on YouTube of the car. Shows the exhaust running under the rear axle instead of over it.

I'd leave the paint. At least for now. Change some of the interior for sure and find some rims.

And not for $30g's. Hell no.

It looks like they actually went and reupholstered the Marauder seats in red. Dear God, man. That person should not be allowed to own a respectable car like a Marauder. It would be nice if someone could save this car, but on the other hand the guy selling it really doesn't deserve $30,000 for it.

IIRC when it was up for sale before it was priced at 23k when this kid bought it and I know he had some work done. He's trying to make his money back and then some, realistically he will probably have to take a loss to get rid of it.

It's really not hideous, it's not purple with yellow wheels. I am not a big bright red fan, but it does look like a decent paint job, change the wheels and hood, make it look like an old fire department car, and go find some suckers to race.:D :burnout:

OE wheels would look good on it, I may have a spare set.;)

I know that you couldn't build that motor for 25k, it's one thing to put a blower on it, but a built motor will cost.

Change the wheels @ hood, do a 2 tone on the paint and maybe a strip of some type to tone down the red, it would look pretty decent.

It is just going to take someone with the funds to do the above, the market is soft, I think between 15-20k is realistic, but 25k in reality is a deal, I just don't think the market will support it. It is a cool toy with lots of potential, good luck with your sale.

Grown folks here... Enough with the hater comments already like we're a bunch of broke a$s teenagers (hatin' to be hatin' or playah hatah) whatever! Because I/we dislike the color, stance, rims doesn't make me or others a hater! I prefer the black sinister look I'm assuming a hater is someone who's jealous and would rather destroy something to hurt or personally attack you. Far from that, but I'd alter the cosmetics to my liking if I purchased it. Back on topic, the heart beat of that MARAUDER is definitely BAD TO THE BONE!!!!

I don't hate the color. I would add some OEM rims and for sure tone down the interior more back to OEM look but with a two tone red/black seat pattern. And also replace the hood with a cowl hood.

The powertrain in the [ Orange CRUSH ] Mercury is a tough one to beat.
The engineering alone is worth buying. And it would be a low miler for life because of the color combo:bandit:

No they didnt. It came to them from the family. Im not sure they ever did anything with it. I just remember it had some work done on it for sure but I dont think it was ever tuned correctly etc... If you call them they can prob give you the low down on it. I believe Martyo may know a little more than I though.

GLWS. cant build one for 25K but prob is, in this market cant sell one for it either. 18-20 is prob more realistic IF you put it back to the way it should be. stock wheels, proper hood and VIN specific paint
