I had the MM shipped to Washington as part of my move. I went to pick her up a couple days ago and they had somehow managed to snap the grille clean in two, breaking the header panel in the process. I have no idea how it happened, only the grille took the hit.

Good news is the claims adjuster on site took care of me. He found an OEM grille at a dealership in Texas and is getting it shipped directly to my house. I am picking up the header panel locally. I also said I wanted to install it myself so he cut me a check for the standard labor rate to install those parts.

That is customer service!

I just read an article about cars being shipped on the Ronald Reagan. I didn't see any Marauders in the pictures!

My car wasn't on the ship, it was sent up by truck through a private contractor. There were only a couple hundred of the several thousand cars going up actually on the ship.

Glad you where able to locate an OEM grill as it was stated in the forum last month that the last of the grills were gone and only had in black.

On the other hand you could go badgeless.....Mercuryed (Ed) makes some fine grills! Ask me how I know???

I love my badgeless grill which separates my Rauder from the rest.

What insurance provider do you use?

I use USAA, but it was the shipping company's claim adjuster who handled it. The damage was their fault so my insurance was never involved.

The header panel will be easy enough to get out, but to get it back in you may have to loosen the fenders to allow them to spread apart for the tabs on the end of the header panel to fit into their respective holes on the fenders. Good luck!

Good, glad to hear everything is working itself out! She'll be better than new in a few.
