 Has anyone noticed a noise, more of a feel than noise in the steering wheel? Can't tell whether it's coming from the rack or where. It is inconsistent and I can't make it do it when I want. It is kinda like the old steering sectors that had a flat spot only this one has never tried to hang or lock. It might happen turning either direction or going in a straight line down the road. Might do it hitting a bump or might not.
It doesn't make any difference where the wheel is adjusted. In one position I can get a little side play, like a loose steering wheel bushing.
:nono: Very annoying but can't take it back to dealer as it probably wouldn't do it and they would say just imagination.

Thanks:
Bob

Might be worth having the torque checked and re-checked on the various fasteners around the crossmember. I had all sorts of loose torque values up front, resulted in some creaking under abrupt heavy braking. We're taking A-arms, crossmember, etc. everything that is torqued down.

I had a leak in my power steering line and that caused a vibration and hissing sound (very slight - only someone anal like me would notice). They replaced the pump first (might have been a TSB on this) and then they eventually found the leak (pump wasn't the problem after all) and fixed it.

Don't know if these sound like your symptoms or not. If they do IM me and I will dig up the repair invoices.

Thanks,
