Hi every one,
As shown from the title, I found FelPro gaskets for 2004 mercury marauder & I don't know if it is recommended to use since OEM gaskets need 45 days to be deleivered.
Appreciate your usual support...
That's what I used when I put the cobra block in!

Almost 2 months before delivery. Might want to try another dealer.

Rockauto has plenty in stock. The OEM MLS Felpro are good for N/A and SC up to about 18+psi.

Rockauto is always a good choice. Last rock bottom deal for headgaskets/bolt kit I saw was at Tousley Ford.

FelPro gaskets have a good reputation.
You might also try tascaparts.com...in fact, I'm at their world HQ right now getting my work van repaired. :D

Bob, have them drop a 5.4 triton s/c motor in your van along with some Magnaflow mufflers.

By "World HQ" you mean the Tasca Dealership in Cranston, right? :rolleyes:I'd call it more of a City than just a dealership...their truck centre alone has 18 bays...and there are 44 in the whole place, including the FOUR that had Shelbys in them...

Aw yeah that place is huge.
Wanna know something funny though? Their parts department is separate from their dealership, so it actually costs more to pick up the item at the dealership than it does to have it shipped across the country. Kind of silly if you ask me...

Thanks RF Overlord. Good luck with your work van :D.
Today, when I went to the workshop, I found that they had brought the wrong no. for head gasket kit. Thanks to god, I found the right one available(Part #hs9790pt3) in spare parts shop( the funny thing is that they don't know the Marauder  ..he was asking me.. what is your car?..again please..murder..marauder..is it SUV .I told him, front marquis back cv with 4.6L 32v engine :D. My issue now with the manifold gaskets, I didn't find it. The available one in their other branch (around 30 miles away)for Lincoln Aviator(Part # ms 96139-2) which has the same lower manifold gasket of Marauder if I'm not mistaken. The question is, can i use the existing upper manifold if it is in good shape?

Any gasket with a black plastic frame and blue silicone seal is *supposed* to be reusable. I had to buy new ones when I installed the intake manifold spacer as little chunks of the blue sealing surface came apart on the old ones.
So your answer is yes, if it's completely intact you can reuse it.

Hello Talal,
The dealer where I live asked the same questions, (a what? is it an suv?) I was putting the trilogy on and I wanted new intake gaskets, waited a few days and got the 2valve intake gaskets. Told the guy to order 32 valve gaskets and got them a few days later.
It is nice to have a low volume car, but sometimes it bites you in the rear.
Ive always heard the stock head gaskets a very good and the intakes dont need to be replaced unless they look bad. I got new ones just to be safe. Good luck.:burnout:

The intake gaskets are extremely reusable. If the seals have any damage or any part of t is broken, then get new ones. Otherwise, clean them up and reuse. If you do need intake gaskets, let me know. I have two pairs NIB.

Thank you man. Yesterday, I got the new gaskets for manifold since the mechanic didn' recommend to use the old one's. I really missed that car :(.
