If anyone is interested in a lower priced car. Here's one.

And drive down the price of our vehicles! :mad2: I like seeing these prices, makes our resale value remain on the high end. :banana2:

Thanks... Just when you hear other board members start saying "The price is to HIGH, it should be lowered", makes you wonder about how they feel about their pride and joy. I refuse to say I own a cheap Ford product! And what does that say about the guy who invested thousands of dollars in his car for mods. We should applaud the person who sell a use limited editon car for a high price. This helps our cars retain its value.
Now back to our regular program!

Really?
I would buy that car for $8000 any day of the week. Looks very nice and has many thousands of miles left in her.

At that mileage it's bound to need a fair bit of stuff worked over though. I'm sure suspension parts could use a look over, as well as the trans and possibly the engine, especially knowing how non-enthusiasts take care of their cars sometimes...
Plus, if so many of you guys want to keep your car forever, why do you care that the value goes down? That's like saying you want the property value of your home to go up even though you plan on living there until you die, just to say you pay high property taxes...

It would take me 8 days to drive my DTR there. We're as only 45 minutes to drive my F250.

if it was a member the price would be more reasonable (they know what they got and the true way on how to take care of it) that car is in a area where snow is has it seen salt?. yes the price on rare cars will go up. will you ever give 8k on one with 170k HELL NO DONT BS YOUR SELF. give me 1 month and ill find you 10 mm's for the same price with around 100k in the south and you know it. this is coming from a 15 year self dealer. and a marauder enthusiast. and im talking about now not in ten years

I would not buy it just because I prefer minty cars. (Boy I screwed up buying the DTR;) ) But it might be a good buy for someone who doesn't have $6-8 grand lying around but can easily justify a low down payment and low monthly payment so they can own something really cool.

This sentiment right here is what keeps me from even trying to believe this would be a prudent purchase. It also doesn't help that although they are not EASY to find, Marauders are also not HARD to find yet, so it's not like I would need to settle for high mileage just to own one.

Some of you guys sure work hard to drive down the value of our cars.
The fact that many of us would like to keep our cars forever is no reason not to care about their value. Where is the logic in that?

For objective reasoning purpose, what is the point anyways? If you are keeping it forever despite anything that happens to it, what does the value have to do with anything? So what if people think it's expensive or not?
The best argument I've seen for keeping the value of these cars high is to keep people who otherwise couldn't afford it from buying them up and chopping them into hooptie-mobiles.

Dude, how about pride of ownership in a valuable car? Or how about leaving something valuable in your will?

The money aspect wasn't at all what made me love my Marauder and made me proud to own it, it was the fact that I had restored it to where I had and on top of that it gave a driving experience unlike ANY modern car AT ALL. I guess I can at least understand where you are coming from though.
And as for the will, well, the way they double/triple/quadruple tax everything these days it would probably be more profitable for my progeny to NOT get anything in a will because they'd have to pay it back to the government anyways. :P
