Hey guys, don't get to crazy of my username haha I have only ever owned GM vehicles but I like Fords also. I am Levi and have always loved the look of the marauders even when I had my 1994 Impala SS a few years ago :). I am going to be looking for a new daily driver that can have a car seat in the back and still look mean. My first choice is going to be a Marauder when I am on my search in a month for a new daily. It will be hitting the winter so some steelies and snow tires will be purchased and I would also like to do a tune and some bolt-ons.

Is there any weak spots to these cars? also do these cars do well with 100k+ miles?

I plan on getting one around 60-80k miles.

Also how are you guys on MPG's with bolt-ons, tune, and even convertor?

Thanks guys!! Maybe I might check out the classifieds here when I am ready to purchase.

We have a few guys on the west side of the state. You might want to consider coming to Maraudervill in September as it will be here in South Haven. That would give you a chance to meet a lot of owners plus find out about the car. You do not need to own a Marauder to attend our events!

These cars have the typical weak spots for the platform but its not unheard of to get 2-300k out of them.

I went to the airport last month and the person with Metro Cars said they just sold a lincoln with 450K on it. Still running strong at that.

I will definitely try to attend this event, especially if I get a marauder!

You know I looked at your add I'm pretty sure, only thing I am waiting on is me and my GF's tax return so we can pay off the remaining couple grand on my DD so she can have something newer with way less miles than what she has now. I hear our w2's from work should be coming in the next week or two so we can file etc. . . then I will be ready to purchase, so if you still have it by then I will for sure consider the drive to snatch it off your hands!!

Guys you need to tell him how hard it is to find parts for the Marauder....Most parts are no longer available at the dealer ship.......A front and back bumper cover will cost about $500-$1,000 dollars USED if you ever need one and if you can find one thats oem...most are repaired......aftermarket is about $600-700 for front and i don`t think they make a aftermarket rear and the dealership don`t have anymore.. ....Marauder guys are buying extra parts to have because there scared that they can`t get the part later...
I would stick with a 96 Impala ss......better gas milage and there also faster ....and you can get any part you need cheap........yep my flame suit is on....Marauder guys are not going to tell you this stuff so i`m just trying to help you out....Also did you notice how no one said anything about mpg ?......and you did ask...... My brand new stock 95 impala with right about 600 miles got 28 miles to the gallon and went 14.82.....bone stock....remember that was back in 95....
Be easy on me i`m just trying to help the guy out.....

Thank you for your input, but a couple thoughts. I don't see any reason I would need a bumper of course unless I crash but I will have full coverage on it, I am not gonna buy a salvage crashed one. Im sure all of the motor parts are readily available. I had a 94 Impala SS that I sold about 2 years ago and honestly I wouldnt ever buy one for a DD again. After doing more searching about MPG's on here they are averaging 2 MPG's better than my current DD (06' Grand Prix GXP). I do appreciate your input though!!
