Well, you are on the premiere Marauder enthusiasts site... do you really have to ask?? :D BTW You can buy a Marauder only if you promise to take great care of it. ;)

But America never stops admiring the Marauder, anywhere, anytime.

I owned a 99 dark blue cvpi, and now I own an 03 Marauder. Crown vic was pretty nice, but the Marauder is a whole different world. Go for the MM, you wont regret it.

Curious what answer you thought you might get from this site?

I'll put on my flamesuit for this one, but honestly it depends on what you want.
Do you want a nice luxury car? Do you want a fast car? Are you just interested in looks?
For 10k, you can buy a really nice Marauder that you'll definitely be happy with.
For that same 10k, you could have a cheap and beat on Crown Vic that runs 12 second quarter miles all day long.
It's up to you man. It all depends on what your goal is.

Marauder all the way. I had 99 CVPI I loved it did a tune intake gears ud pulleys rear spoiler along with 02 CV sport. The car was fast and clean I got plenty of compliments but not as much as I get with my Marauder. It's a no brainer...

Only minus is that these M-Panthers don't run with regular fuel as it says " PREMIUM FUEL ONLY " and with the unstable fuel prices is not easy to use it for daily driving.

Really? An extra $.24 a gallon is an extra $5 a fill up. I use mine as a daily driver despite the 5.0 getting better mpg
If you can't afford an extra $5 a fill up, then save the Marauder for someone that cares about it

How many $10k projects do you have going at the moment?

Wha? No. I didn't say I did it. But you should be familiar with the 3 or 4 guys on the other site who reached that time within that budget.

Including the price of the car?
Funny, out of those guys, I'm pretty sure that was 10K additional money sunk into the car. After they already owned it.

It's nothing worth arguing over, but I think it could have been 10k total. Keep in mind they're just starting with a $2000 car and they're spraying a 125 shot on a stock longblock.

With that kind of money there should be no question! A Police Interceptor is just a poor man's Marauder, anyhow...I'd trade my car for a Marauder in a heartbeat!

I had an 03 fully nodded vic, had an 05 grand marquis, and now a marauder. Let me tell you, I didn't spend much more than 10k to have a supercharged marauder with 80k miles on it.

My suggestion is to do your research and find a lower mileage cheap marauder and supercharge it. If you do it right you should end up around the 10 k price range for a car that won't compare to any vic.

Just my .02 based on experience with both

SC Marauder FTW. Very reasonable option, especially if you go the Eaton swap route.

With the "right" amount of luck(and apathy from other MM.net members that had the chance but passed), you can buy one supercharged for less than $10K...

I personally say CVPI because you can put that 10k into it and have a nice driver that will surprise a camaro z28 at a stoplight, run 12s,and you wont have to worry about keeping it pretty i drive my CVPI everyday and the marauder comes out on the nice days or when im looking for some ricers to really beat up on but 10k gets you a long way with either decision i built my CVPI up using 6k and thats plus the car and its in the 13s even for how wore out it is

:beer::lol:

So true!!!!!... I don't know your financial status, but my advice would be to wait for the right MM to come along and get a bank loan. Say the car is $14k, take out a loan for the max amount, then use the 10k for the sales tax and the gap between the loan you are able to get and the actual cost of the car. Then use the rest of the money to pay off as much of the loan as possible. Thr the amount you owe will be around $5k and you'll have it paid off in a year and won't have to do anything to it. There is a little more to it than that, but if you need to know how most banks work I'll gladly explain. The 2 biggest things against buying a nice mm is that they are now old and the Kelly Blue Book value is not high enough to cover what most people want for their cars.

I had the oportunity to have both (1999 P71/sold & 2004 Rauder/my current ride) which were also DD.

MARAUDER!!!!!

Style, comfort, speed, and collector/keeper.

CVPI are a dime a dozen but there were only some many Marauders built for 2 yrs.

That's like going on a Castrol site and asking if you should use Valvoline

I remember when the Marauder came out - and thinking that's cool (and yes a very beautiful car) but it's a CVPI wannabe. Give me one with steel wheels and vinyl seats, without the leather, chrome exhaust tips and shiny wheels!

It probably has a lot to do with my memories as a kid, watching my friends older brothers order cars like a plain-jane Biscayne with a 427 and a 4-speed stick on the floor in front of a bench seat. Its Impala SS brother was incredible, but the nondescript look of the Biscayne with the go-fast mechanicals is what did it for me.

So yeah I could go to a MM meet and droool all over those beautiful cars but I'd no doubt vote a CVPI as best of show. Yes we walk among you

^^So I have the same logic but reversed. It's called market segmentation. I can't help myself I would alway chose the latter if I can afford it...lol

Firebird or Trans AM WS6
Suburban LS or LT half ton or 3/4 ton
Mustang GT or GT500
Corvette Z51 or Z06/ZR1

It's whatever you can bear financially that suites your preference.

You don't even have to be in your Marauder to elicit oohs and aahs ... just wearing Paul's shirts with God's Head does it!
