I want to install the 4.10 gears, i know this topic is talked about all the time, but i re-ask it because i think i have less knowledge about this stuff then anyone else. How do you install the 4.10 gears in the car? is it easy, dose anyone have any videos or pics? and when it comes to tuning it, where and how do i get a tune specific to my 04 marauder, and how do u hook up the tuner to the car, and dose the tune also remove the top speed limiter? Any help is super appreciated, thanks!

Welcome to the machine!

The gears should be installed by someone that has experience in turning wrenches and setting up gears. If not done right, it comes back apart a second time.

I had a very experienced wrench install my gears, and using a lift took him about 2 hours.

We have vendors on the site that sell handheld tuners - X-Cal 3, that will have tunes uploaded for the MM. The handheld plugs into a port under the dash, to the right of the steering column.

The handheld can hold up to 3 tunes for the car depending on what mods you plan on doing in the future.

Yes. The speed limiter is removed.

We have many members up your way that I am sure would assist you moving forward.

;)

Mike.

If you aren't mechanically inclined, have a shop do it. Best thing to do is find a dyno shop that works of Fords/Mustangs and have them install the gears. They can provide you a tune that will change the gear ratio in the computer, remove the speed limiter and give you more power all at the same time.

Awww, Mike beat me to it! (Up early for an old man aren't you!) :D
