Long time ago, i upgraded my headlamps to HID. Now, i rebuild it back to the OEM bulbs, but it is a very, very bad light, especially at rain. What can i do to have better illumination? can i get an adaptor from OEM 9007 to H7 or similar?

Well assuming you went back to stock setup, you can get a lighting relay harness or make your own and that will help a good bit. The site is currently down, but suvlights.com has upgraded relay harnesses.

The harness will plug into factory connectors, battery, ground (very similar to HID setup as far as installation...just no ballasts, etc). There are also 2 relays connected to this harness. That along with the much larger than factory wiring will allow the full voltage to be applied to the headlight bulbs therefor giving you the brighter lights.

sounds good. but is this like the HID harness? because HID which i had in my car was a ver bad harness with too thin cables and cheap connectors. and the grommet for the hole was to tall. maybe i can buy very good HID kits without to cut the OEM harness? just for Marauders

I don't know which kit you had for HIDs, but the SUV lights kit is a quality harness which many CV.net & some MM members use. Its plug and play and requires no cutting of the original harness. A decent quality HID kit shouldn't require to cut the OEM harness....my cheap DDM kit didn't require any cutting of the harness.

However you can also fairly easily (from what I've been told) make your own upgraded relay wiring harness for cheap that would be quality... I don't know the exact specifics but others might...

iīm interest at the HID kit, you talked about. can i get it at ebay also, or is that the best from suvlights?

The suvlights kit is just gonna be the upgraded power harness for use with regular 9007 bulbs, will make a big difference, but is not HID. You can probably find it a few places now as it is more common, I just know SUVlights is the most commonly used by members. The HID kit I have is just the DDMTuning kit, www.ddmtuning.com.

http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-HID-Kit-Slim-Ballast-35W-or-55W then choose 35 watt, 9007 hi/low beam, bulb color (i suggest 4500-6000 I use 5K and like it), then select nothing for hid harness, error eliminator, & adapter cables.

Not exactly......

You will need to modify the dust cover on the back of the headlight housing.

If you go with a 9007 Hi / Lo kit you'll have to add ground(s) and power.

What means that? I have to drill a second hole? What has you done at your car?

Yeah you can either leave the dust cover off or drill a hole in the middle of the back of it to run the wires through. The power and ground connections are included with the harness, you just have to connect them, connect the grounds to ground screws etc, and the power to the battery or distribution block.

I wouldn't leave the dust cover off... it's there for a reason.

I cut the correct size hole in my rubber dist cover and siliconed the grommet from the HID bulb into the hole.

I installed a HID kit on a Marauder with the hard dust cover and did the same thing.

and finally the result. a very, very big different before and after. Unnecessary to mention which side was modified :-)!
and that with OEM bulbs. next week, i can try my 80% brighter Osram bulbs :-):
