Not in the ground but the undercarriage. It looks like it is coming from the engine and tranny seal. Any other places it could be leaking from?

It usually will blow back from where it originated. Clean the entire area, take a ride, then check it out. Seee if you can follow the trail. The engine mounts to the tranny, but, that area doesn't have any oil going between either. Rear seal could leak, but, highly unlikely.

look around the extension housing on the transmission. I had a leak there, caused a ugly mess under the car

After your last oil change was the front cross member cleaned? When you change the filter there is usually oil left on it.

The torque converter access plug is a definite possibility. I've seen this leaking on a lot of panthers. If it is leaking, it most likely indicates rear main seal failure.http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f330/bkmis01/4r70w2.jpg
There is an oil seal on the tranny where the shifting mechanism fits into the case. That is also a place that leaks according to my oil change tech.
