Shift probs

I have 2 shift problems.

1. From neutral to reverse nothing happens. I have to jiggle the shifter before the trans engages.

2. This is a bit more serious. 2 times the trans has failed to up-shift. One time I was staying on the gas until I got to my speed. This kept the trans in 3rd. At my speed I backed off the gas but got no 4th. This was Saturday. Last night I was stuck in 2nd for a mile before I had the chance to stop, shift to Park then start out again.

common problem you need your shift linkage adjusted.

Like cutt said, easy fix, just drop by your dealer and they'll adjust the shift linkage...

Been there done that.
Mine did the same thing.
Have the dealer check the routing of the cable around the steering shaft and properly adjust the shifter cable.

I agree about the N to R problem being a cable. But what about the failed upshift at 55mph and over?
