 Hello again Marauderers, well this time I came to look for help with tech experts here, when I adopt BP74I one of the first things I did was to replace the crappy older headlight bulbs for a pair of Sylvania silverstars ultra 9006 but I note at night the high beam is not illuminating strong it looks like the low beam and one of the things I suspect is the alternator, the alternator comes from a Grand marquis donor (junkyard) and one of the first repais to BP74I was the alt and I was thinking in replace it for a Police interceptor new alternator, recomendations are welcome and thanks for the time to read as always.

9006? I hope you mean 9007. 9006 is normally a low beam bulb in GM vehicles.

Grounds are from the negative (-) side of the battery.
They are all over the engine compartment.
By the battery / underhood fuse / relay box
From the battery to the block
From the back of the block to the firewall
Look for any cable / wire that is attached to a body part or engine.
Most ground wires are black, brown or green.
Remove them, clean till nice and shiney and reconnect. Don't forget to clean the washers and bolts.
Of course disconnect the battery first ( + first )

For the sake of saying we did it, while your headlights are on, preferably your high beams, wiggle the connector and wiring on the back of the headlight and see if the problem corrects itself.
I have seen countless connector with issues on fleet vehicles in this area, it may save you some time by checking at the source of the problem, or it may not. But it is worth a look see anyhow.
