I have had a dent in the window trim (right rear door) for some time and finally had the cash to purchase the new one. Just wondering how hard it will be to replace this. Do i need to remove the door panel and take door pretty much apart, or does it snap off from the outside?

I can check the shop manual.

I'm in Greenville, S.C. right now. Won't be back home until Thursday evening or early Friday

You want the Ford Shop Manual for 2003 or 2004 Crow Victoria & Grand Marquis --the Marauder-specific details are in the manual.

I got mine from Lori & Jeff on eBay. Good condition, cheap.

This is a good deal on the shop & wiring manuals:

Hey Jim, do you know of any differences between 03-04 service manuals (especially wiring) to worry about?

The molding is riveted in place, the door needs to come apart, remove the door panel, then the glass has to come out, you will need to drill out the 2 1/4" rivets for that. Then the window channel along with the rear fixed glass(it is all 1 piece). then you can drill out the rivets that hold the trim in place.

It goes back together in reverse order. The rear door glass can be a bit tricky to get in/out, as it is pretty much a square, as is the opening, it takes a little finnesse to get it in/out. If you have never riveted a door glass in before, I would recommend 1/4-20 stainless nuts/blots/washers for reassembly, if you choose to rivet it, make sure that you use glass specific rivets and you may want to have a spare piece of glass on standby.

I don't think there is much of a difference.
