All I can say is... Very cool.

Best part is nothing's leaking, nothing's making any weird noises, and all my gauges and A/F monitors report normal under all conditions...

Unfortunately, I finished up just as the kiddo's were coming home so I didn't get to do an extended test drive, just managed to work up the "I gotta go get some milk" excuse to burn rubber down to the grocery and back.

Only thing left to do is detail under the hood and mount the Boost gauge. It and its' wiring is sitting on my passenger seat for now, all the funky elbows and extensions demand I think through it a bit to get it mounted up into my A pillar...

Pics!

Buddy, if I ever see another friggin heater hose or hose clamp again, it'll be too soon. Ugh!!! All in all the install went really well. Word of advice to those who're thinking about doing it at home, attack the EGR tube FIRST. If you can't get the nuts loose, just go to a local shop and have them crack them loose for you. That was probably the only major issue.

Aside from the german alternator on my car...It had some funky 60 spline inverted nut thingy holding the clutched pulley on the spindle. Naturally Jerry fedexed me the tool to get it off, but in the mean time I went down to ford and ordered a replacement alternator, got it, it had a standard nut/pulley on it and I was off to the races... When I get the tool, my german unit which is exceptionally clean I might add, will be getting ummmmm.. returned to the dealer and my money back in my pocket. ;)

Wow, Logan. Just... wow! It looks fantastic. I bow before your mad crazy mechanical skills!

What's the little bottle on the passenger side above the wheel well? It looks like an extra coolant reservoir. Looks like it's linked into a coolant hose.

Looks good Logan. I have an Eaton on my 96tbird for three hard years now. My alternator is mounted backwards which causes any Ford tech that walks by to do a double take and stop and ask why it's on backwards---they don't even notice the supercharger--just the alternator.

Hey Logan, when I get one of those in a couple years, I'll bring it down to texas for a road trip and you can help me install it...no way I could do anything like that myself without having to buy 2 or 3 more engines.

Looks great! Glad you didn't have drama!  :pimp:

Hey Logan, welcome to the world of the Supercharged Marauder! It looks great, I should have known you were hooked when you beat the hell out of mine last year at Ennis! Congrats, it looks great and I cant wait to see some dyno numbers. Which Pulley did you get with it? Its gonna be a blast seeing how many SC Marauders will be at the national meet in Indy....
Enjoy...I am officially jealous of all the Trilogy owners in states that dont have 10 inches of standing snow laying around.... :fire:

That radiator looks mighty tall, is that the stock one or is your front plastic cover just not on yet?

Looks sweet! You know what I think you should do? Give your all time favorite moderator they keys in Indy. :D :burnout:

After spending a day with it, the thing is NASTY fast... With the headers/exhaust, steep gears, stall and the charger, I dare say... If I can hook em up y'all are in trouble in the quarter mile!

I sooooooooooooo need to pop the bucks and get some wider tires on the butt end of this sled...

so you are eyeballing the top spot on the timeslip sheet are yee...congrats and get them tires...as they say in texas 'hook'em horns'...a guy at the southern shootout had a set of seemingly narrow slicks on a linc and he hooked better than any one all day long...went to see what they were but he already had them off and put away...willie

I know those gears you have are not planting down like you want, must be smoking the "****nit" :burnout: out of those rear tires. Definitely wider at the rears.

Nice job Logan,

You just learn to throttle into everything and ride that "edge" between traction and smoky smoky hell. ;)

..at least until I get new wheels. I'm loath to widen rims, when I know damn well I'm going to get aftermarket wheels in a month or two, so until then, I'll live with it...

Congradulations Logan, as i'm very jealous! I've been debating the Trilogy kit myself, but I keep telling myself that I can't void my warranty. If the temptation becomes too great, the Trilogy kit would be absolutely the only one to get for me! Now that you are running a supercharger, have you considered running a engine oil cooler?

Logan
01-30-2004, 05:09 AM
After watching my oil temps shoot to 205 after getting into the boost a bunch, hell yes. Big 'ol Oil cooler comin' up.

Logan, I see in your signature that is still says Reinhart Chip. Are you still running the Reinhart chip now that you installed the supercharger? Or did you use the chip with the kit? By the way, everytime I ride in a Trilogy car I get a smile on my face. When things pick back up at work I will get one too.

Logan
01-31-2004, 07:30 AM
Oops, no, The trilogy chip is in the car, only make sense to run what they provide with the kit.

Congrats, Logan!!! It's only fitting that MM.net's creator finally got, um . . . blown! An Eaton blower AND the Kooks headers (not to mention the Stallion TC and 4.30s)--IT MUST BE FRIGGIN' AWESOME!!!
