got them from the ebay link, went and opened them up and one of the ring thingies in the middle of the wire was broken but still attached and when I touched it, it shattered in my hand. all of the other ones have that metal ring. is it important? I called the number on the yellow paper and left a message but haven't heard back yet. the picture shows the one with and without the ring. HELP!

It's a powder coated iron ferrite core. Important for RF reduction, not critical for engine operation.

Thats an emi suppresion ring that shields the connector from electro magnetic interference, contact the seller and tell them what you have they should replace it

i did a test fit of the long end of the connector to the spark plug today after I checked the gap and noticed that the connector is alittle loose after i've seated it as far as it will go on the plug. is this normal? if not what tips do you have for me. thanks. also, am I right about the picture??

Well, you know I have a rough idle ever since it went to Lidio's place, I don't think these will smooth it out. It does have great throttle response though....:burnout:

Changed the plugs and connectors today. after I put everything back together and started it up I noticed a bad hesitation at low rpms while accelerating. started to think it was one or more COP's. after re-investigating under the hood I noticed I forgot to connect the rubber hose to the air intake. that connected, took it for another test drive and its perfect. notice a lot better response, seems alittle stronger as well but then again i do drive a 4 cyclinder ranger daily.
