Not me, time to get vertical... Been looking to purchase a Rotary brand drive on rack with center hydraulic lift add on for quite some time. I have come close twice now (And Melanie once as a surprise gift) to plopping down the cash, but with three kids and working construction, something else always came up. I also wanted a more practical 2 post for the other bay at a later date.
Well, it's not brand shiny new, but at least a sturdy, well built, and hardly used one that was offered to me from a carpenter I was working with for $1000.00. I couldn't pass it up.
Anyways, I asked the boss if I could borrow a trailer and he insisted I take the 550, trailer and Bobcat to help ease the back. What a GREAT guy!
Joe was all eager to help as usual, offering up his truck, and his big sexy muscles, but at the last minute had to back out because something came up. (STILL offering his truck!) What a good friend to have, always there to help out however he can.
Well, future project, I am BEAT from disecting this thing, hauling it home, and driving back to work to swap vehicles, and back home again.. Happy, but SORE.

You will wonder how you lived without it.
How thick are your floors where it is going?

I was a mechanic for 7 years out of H.S. with full access after hours, infact even my own key. I have been in agony for the 14 years going without! I just really wish I would have had this when I fabbed all the exhaust for four weeks back in Sep!!
The floor is a typical 4" and I know ground squirrels have made a condo complex under it for years. Plans are to cut out a 4' X 4' area, use a jumping jack compactor with CA6 stone and finish up with a 12" pour pinned to the old with rebar and with sunken threaded rod for install. This will take awile as I have a LOT of stuff I want to clear out, build a new shed behind the garage for all tools non automotive, raise four wall ties 2' and install vertical rails for a 9' door (for my 7' door). I see a mega sale starting soon for old stock MM parts that currently reside in the ceiling..
Untill I tear the roof off and switch the direction of it, I will be limited to 5' 6" unfortionately. But these one day quick fixes will at least get me that high for now. Other wise it would be 3' 6"! NOT GOOD.

I was thinking the same thing! Get off my brainwave, there's barely enough room for me. That's a good score for the money. How many TWSS can everyone else find in this thread? I saw six or so.
Very nice biscuits!

That's what she said! :high5:
For the record, I'm not saying justbob likes to work on Marauders but I have witnessed him working on a badgeless grill. In bed. (Joe and Amy can also attest to this.) So I have no doubt he will put this lift to great Marauder use.

Even without the pesky excavators, I too wouldn't trust only 4" of concrete and some bolts to hold up a car. Sounds like you know what to do.
I know you probably won't take me up on it, but if you need help, just give me a call.
