Step dad told me he knows a cop selling this 2003 MM it's the cop's 2nd car. he want 8-9K for it :argue: seem a little high?
from owner
I am the 2nd owner of this car. Clean title and no accidents. Bought the car at 94,278 miles pre-owned pre-certified Ford in July 2007. The car now has 134k miles. The car was regularly detailed and the interior / exterior are immaculate. I applied leather treatment to the seats several times a year to maintain the leather's condition and suppleness. The car was covered in the winter with a car cover. The car runs perfectly, has no issues whatsoever, and has been meticulously dealership maintained. This car has awesome power, runs very smoothly, and is a blast to drive.
In terms of the recent maintenance that has been performed, the car has 4 new tires that were purchased in 2009. This car is my 2nd vehicle so the new tires have about 5000 miles on them since they were replaced. Tires are practically brand new. Battery was replaced in March 2011. The vehicle also has a timing chain so there is no costly timing belt replacement that is needed. When were the brake done.
This car has practically every option available including:
4.6L 32V Motor with 302HP and 318 LB-Ft Torque
3.55 Gear ratio
Power locks, windows, mirrors, and seats
18" Premium OEM Wheels
Keyless Entry
Factory Alarm
Viper remote start -- (But missing keyfob)
Traction control
Cruise control
Heated Seats
Rear Defroster
6 CD changer with Cassette
Audiophile system
Ice cold air conditioning
Driver/Passenger Airbags
K&N Air Filter
Marauder Floor Mats
Chrome Bumper "Marauder" Inlays
20% tint on all 4 windows
27641
27642
27643
27645
27646
27647
27648

Everything is high for you... 8-9k seems reasonable for what it is, esp with light flint.

How long you been yammering about getting a Marauder, one falls in your lap from someone you know and you aren't jumping on this? Why?
Stop buying parts and save your cash dude, this car could have been yours
Maybe the friend would take a payment plan
Just strange that you are posting the perfect Marauder for yourself for sale

Now that other people have called you out too, it is time so tell us all, in detail, not PM to me, what exactly have you bought in addition to those hats you mentioned at post 500. My guess is NOTHING or you would have said it in your response, but you wanted to PM me, this is a joke, but do what you want, it isn't a crime, but man, you post on everything and do NOTHING. see my initial question and answer below...
my question was:
[QUOTE=beantown mm;1133010]Ok, so I will ask, I gotta assume others are wondering too... just curious, at 499 posts about buying everything offered out here for 3 months now, could you name every item you have indeed purchased...

Like I said, A JOKE,, you post excessively over 550 posts, and can't take the 20 seconds it would take to write down what you have purchased so all can see, which would also be a good defense from the people questioning you. Like I said, you have bought 4 hats.

That's how I buy my stuff, but admittedly doing so is going to be tough when looking for a Marauder... I've only paid over $5000 for TWO vehicles in my life(I'm 61), yep my Marauder is on that short list...
EDIT, correction here... Adjusted for inflation make the above three.. In 1973 I paid $1500 for my '69 Fairlane Cobra(I still have it), the calculator says that's now almost $7600...

It's Friday, waiting anxiously for the reason why someone looking for a Marauder would pass on a 2003 MM Black / light flint interior, for that price.
Reasons:
I'm attending the opening of my garage door.
I have to check the freshness dates on my dairy products.
I need to spend quality time with my weed whacker .
I prefer to remain an enigma.
I'm doing door-to-door collecting for static cling.
None of my socks match.
The last time I went out, I never came back.
The man on television told me to stay tuned.

I think the asking price is more than fair for a car with those miles and LF interior.
I would try to talk him down but if he says he's firm, he's firm.
I have had people offer me $250 less than asking after I've stated repeatedly the price was firm and I have told them no.
Would you pass on a car you wanted for $250?

That having been said, 10-1 he doesn't buy it

This has been a riot to follow. The reality is if you want this car and you come across one you find a way to make it happen. Sometimes more than once.

I can't help but feel we are pushing him towards the edge of a cliff. But I can't stop. My Marauder makes me do it.....

Yeah I'm probably pushing him a little hard, but it's rare that buying a Marauder fits into the exact moment youre ready to pull the trigger. He's got one here that is perfect for him if it is what his stepdads friend says it is.
He's been looking to get into a Marauder, buying some parts, and hadn't been able to pull the trigger, I'm aiming to help him do that, because it will be the best decision he's ever made

Dude only sent one pic of the outside? That sucks, but still go see it and run it through its paces. Are you budgeted for the ballpark of his asking price(can afford within $300 of his asking)
If so, it's worth a close look, if not dint waist his time

Do it the way I do. I find a Marauder and show the pics to my dog and turtle. They have a discussion about it and tell me what they think. I then use the info I get from them and decide. They have been right 3 out of 3 times.

Yeah. My thoughts exactly. Except sometimes he buys stuff. Like OEM floormats for his non-existent marauder.
Why can't the guy just wait for the right car for him?
We're all enthusiasts that know what we want. Seems to take me months to find the right car for me regardless of what I'm after. I know what I want & won't settle. :)
