I thought i would post my latest mod in its own thread for those who may be interested in how i got the 18x10s to fit on the front with much bigger tires.
First i added a 1" billet hub centric spacer for clearance, after a trip to the machine shop to cut the factory studs down about 1"

Then just a matter of mounting the sticky mickeys!!! the car handles soooooo much better with the 18x10s up front sharp turns are a breeze!

thats pretty tight, so all you added was a 1 inch spacer??? one question why did you have to cut the factory bolts

i had to cut the factory studs so the wheel can sit flush on the spacer , yeah a one inch spacer is all thats needed for lock to lock turns!

And I thought mine were beefy with 9.5 up front. Does make the turns very easy with my 9.5 all around and your running 10 and 12 widths, you can prolly turn on a dime!

It looks tough - I like it - are the rears the same width too?

Thanks for posting pictures! The One Lap of America Crown Victoria ran 18x10's all around so I knew it was possible.
Could you take a picture from the front with the wheels straight down the side of the car so we can see how it lines up with the fender?
Once you get it out on the road I'd also be interested to hear if you experience any tramlining with the wide tires up front.
Thanks!

I've always liked Mustangs SN95 with 18x9f/18x10r and wondered what that setup would look on a panther.

I had to cut mine on the mach1 for the same reason - running 1" spacer. However, those spacers were to fit 15x3.5 centerline telstar's over the cobra brakes.
You don't need a machine shop to do it though, an angle grinder goes through them like cheese. I don't like that ordeal for when I'm not using the spacers, so I think I'm going to get long studs and open nuts for it when I get back into modding it... in your case, since you're running the spacers full time, you should be good to go :)

Jake,
Are you planning to lower the car?
They do seem to just fit near the wheel well opening.
I would think that there could be some issues with some
scraping of the openings F & R.
Don"t get me wrong Bud I like what you have done.
It look very strong.

WHO did you say?
Sorry for that.Dude .
I have to start a roster of names and screen names.
Most folks don't sign there posts, or PMs Makes it a little hard to ID them.
Please excuse me, Roger
Roger, I hope someone does video or photos of your ride.
A hard launch will tell the story. I'm sure you did your research on the
project.
On my Impala SS I had to modify the inter lip in order for the tires I
was using to fit. Tubbing. wasn't an option.
I would love to see the car in action, not only drag racing, but road racing
or solo runs.
Your ride looks bitchen, from what I can see now it is on the edge.
I'm for you Bud, and thanks for clearing up the name game.
I started the book of names/screen names.
Thank, Roger.

You know one of the nice things about the Marauder is that they rolled the rear wheel well lip from the factory to clear the 18" tire combo!
As for hard launches ill let you know after my Trilogy install;)

I ran a Mickey Thompson street radial 28x12x18! I've since sold that setup and upgraded to 20" wheels!
Jesus that's a monstrous front tire size hahaha. Thanks for the reply.

I know this is on old thread, but what would the offset be on that wheel after being widened to 10"?
ChiTownMaraud3r
02-20-2014, 07:38 PM
I would think it is half the difference of the width added now
10-8 = 2"/2 = 1"
So 45mm(stock)+25.4mm(1 inch) = 70.4mm offset. But then again that is if you use the stock hub, where looks like he had some custom work done possibly sticking the hub surface out more.

The offset does not change, you are simply adding 2" of material to the rear of the wheel. Responded to your PM, let me know i you have any more questions.
