I have two GM radios from the '70s that need repair.
They do not need cosmetic restorations, but the volume controls do not work well and the "pots" need to be repaired.
Any recommendations on who to use?
I am not looking for the results of a Google search but for someone who you or someone you know used with good results.
Thanks!

www.Hemmings.com (http://www.Hemmings.com) is a good source for vendors. After entering their web site, go to the bottom of the page and find a section titled "services offered". In that section will be a dedicated section for radio repairs and there will be a good number of vendors that do repairs on older model car radios. I feel sure you will find more than one that can do what you want.

If they are later 70's Am/Fm radios, the pots may be good but the audio IC's are blown. Common problem with those because the two speaker wires had to float above ground or the IC would be damaged and many people who installed new speakers left the (-) tab connected and blew them up.. Marty, send me pics of the radios, ,maybe I can help you.. I also may have older parts, like the transistors etc..
