It *is* a pretty serious undertaking. Buy a manual or f it up and blame some random third party.

It's what Ford calls Dot to Dot. This is for the Mach 1 engine which is the same as ours. Pgs 9-12.

Changing your valve seals because it smokes on start? There is a much easier way to clean and recondition the existing seals - without taking the heads apart.

go to amazon.com and search for the book 4.6/5.4 moduler engine complete teardown and rebuild. you can preview most of the book, pretty helpful for me. good luck
