sorry for such a newb question... i did quite a few searches first. i am wanting to put 2003 marauder headlights in a 98 grand marquis. apparently the two headlights are different sizes. if i bought a marauder grille, bumper, and headlights, will they fit? i know from looking the corner lights will work, but im going to be really bummed if i can't get the headlights to work.
thanks for any info you can give.

Yeah, not only are the side markers taller, they're shorter too.
I thought about it. Unless you're going to remake the front end, they won't fit.
HOWEVER!
If you get a 2003 or up (I believe) Marquis...and put blackwall tires on it, and get rid of the chrome, and monochrome the back...you're good to go! Center shifter is another thing...good luck with changing out the seats and steering wheel to get THAT done! Don't forget the engine either....

Try to get the header panel off of a crashed MM. Getting the stuff new is ridiculous!!! Ford charges $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for the Marauder parts but $$$ for the 2003 GM parts. GM parts are cheaper but the same thing. MM bumper is like over $1000 but the GM bumper is normal priced.

also, will the corner markers stick out too far on a 98 marquis?

Maybe you could go to a large dealer where they stock the parts or something. Hold them up to your car and see. Either way, it'll cost to retrofit something like that. Have you tried blacking out the lights you've already got?

hmmm.... good thought.... has anyone tried this? any success? it sure would make it a lot easier. or, another possibility... does anyone make and aftermarket (kind of like apc or something... not so ricey) that you could black out?
thanks for the input guys... keep it coming!!

I "blacked out" the rears on mine...at least, it's electrical tape:D , and I'm giving my parents an example of what it'll look like done permanently. It's growing on them.

That's correct the front facia (bumper) for the Marauder is more than twice the price of a new Corvette. :bs:

steelybob,
Instead of making a Marauder clone why don't you try something different.
See if any other Ford headlights/marker lights might fit, like those off a 2000 mustang cobra.
You could even search around for other ideas like the front grille from a mid 80's cougar or thunderbird, remember those are pretty big cars.
Another idea would be to move the front and rear bumbers of your car in a few inches like Trilogy did to their show car (pictures in the galley and on their site). Maybe a chin spoiler would look good. Search the web for pictures of other ford/linclon/mercury cars, then open up Photoshop to see what your ideas might look like. But remember this, I doubt very much that any of these parts will just bolt right on, you will most likely have to do allot of fabricating to get the pieces to fit. So if this is your daily driver I would think it all the way through before you start doing anything.
You never know you might just be the next Chip Foose or Boyd Coddington.
If you do photoshop some ideas make sure to post them here first.
Good luck.

A 2003 GM header panel is the same as the MM. If you can live w/o the fog lights, you can get the parts super cheap compared to the MM parts....even new.
