wanting to buy: winter set up steelies

any1 kno were or a memebr or anybody that has or sells the steelies that some members put on our cars for the winter so we dont mess up and get salt all over out oem rims

i want a set for the winter bec in summer sending my rims away to get widened and re done chrome instead of polished and dont want them to see salt after i spend all that money getting them redone

so if any1 knos any1 or a member that i could buy a set of the 16' steelies i think they are im in need of a nice looking winter setup

I ended up just buying a set of 16" Grand Marquis aluminum rims for $150 off eBay a few years ago.

I found a set of steelies for my crown vic sport before the marauder on www.car-part.com (http://www.car-part.com). You can search by state, zip etc. it only lists junkyards that participate on car-part, but I got 4 for $30 each and they were nice and not all rusty. I still have them with arctic altimax snows, but they are not for sale even though I am not driving the car in the winter. 2003 and up will fit..16" or the 17" if they 2006 or later. But if you plan on or have the big brake kit then they will not fit. Someone will correct me if i am wrong, but I am pretty certain you need the 18" min for big brake upgrade. just food for thought. make sure you DO NOT get the 7 hole/slot steel wheels from 2003-,2005..they were recalled and some never made it..they can have air leak issues and even weld failure..2003-2005 you need the 12 slot ones. If 2006 and later then they went to the 10 hole 17"

ok awesome im gonna try to look at crazy rays junk yard first since there lotss of crown vics there and alot of them are police interceptor hopfully there one in good shape with the nice steelies 16' rims

Don't get the 16" ones with 7 holes. They were recalled due to poor welds.

I rock the 16" 7 hole steelies on my daily grand marquis, never had a problem with them, they are holding up well to daily abuse of chicago's POS streets. I think certain batches were found to be bad, and they abandoned the design altogether for the 12 holes.

1999 year offset is wrong for 2003 and up..They will stick out past the wheels wells. Do not go with 1998 -2002

yes, these fit fine...17" will cost more and tires will cost a little more than 16" rims/tires

16" look for the twelve slot ones
17" look for the 10 hole like your link

You can also go with any other CV, GM or TC rim 2003 and up and also 2005 and up V6 Mustang wheel.
