Bought a used Eaton M112 and was wondering if I should send it out to have it inspected/ rebuilt since I don't know it's history.

The rotors still have nearly all the teflon on them and there is no play in it.

Has anyone done this before?

Where would you recommend to send it to?

I think Rex did it to his. But on the flip side. It's cheap insurance for a piece of mind to not have to take it off in the future and have your car down. Bows the time to do it. Maybe have it ported too for just a little extra fun and possibly lower IATs.

Jake had his Trilogy rebuilt and ported as well as others.

I heard more positive tales from Posi than Stegy.

I sent mine to Posi since it was off. But I read Stegy is factory authorized by Eaton if that matters to you.

SOunds good to go! May want to just double check the synthetic oil level in the snout just to be sure. It should be right up to the allen screw in the front.

I think Magnusson can do them too.

The first Eaton I bought ended up being junk, and I replaced it with a rebuilt core from Stiegy, no issues since.

IIRC, a rebuild on a supplied unit's around $300, but you'd want to call to confirm.
