Anyone have/seen any clever ideas how to add an electric/vacuum/hydraulic assit to the clutch linkage?? My left is going thru some issues, hopefully temporarily, but I can not drive that car much now. Yes I could convert to a hyd clutch, but my hope if for extreme assist, not just some.

A hydraulic clutch doesn't give much if any improvement in pedal effort... The older linkage systems generally have a helper spring that will lessen effort, my '69 Fairlane with 428CJ & 4speed requires far less effort than the 5.0 Stang I owned that didn't use a helper spring... I got "smart" one day and removed the helper spring, could barely depress the clutch...

All this said, I sold a '87 Turbo Coupe 5-speed to a paraplegic and he and a buddy rigged hand controls to the clutch using a small vacuum booster... He drives the car and enjoys it immensely...
