Search is your friend.......Searched "removing gauge pod" :D

Put the gearshift in Drive

Pull on the sides of the gauge pod

It will sound like your breaking something but it will come out

You should consider replacing BOTH bulbs with LEDs. They are brighter and give off almost no heat. You'll should see the burned marks on the top of each gauge from the incandescent bulbs.

My oil gauge light had been burned out for years. Where can I get the led light?

You can get the bulb(s) at any FLAPs store.

It is recommended that you replace both while you're in there as the new bulb may very well be brighter than the one that isn't blown.

Each bulb has a 'condom' placed over the glass that gives the green appearance when illuminated.

Just remove them from the original bulbs, and 'roll' them back on the replacements.

;) :D

PM fastblackmerc, he's the Man when it comes to LEDs.

I have green LED bulbs if anyone is interested. These are dimmable.

If you use white LED bulbs you will need green "condoms" to cover them.

When you remove the gauge pod look at the top of the gauge(s), you'll see a burned spot from the incandescent bulb(s). That is from the heat of the bulb. You'll never get that with an LED bulb.

I just want to upgrade to the LED for my oil gauge that is out. My Voltmeter gauge still lights up. This is basic plug n play correct?

Thanks. Mission accomplished. Another issue. Just had the motor overhauled after 217k due to broken timing chain guide plugging oil. Just drove the car back today but red anti-theft light next to vent flashing twice...pause...flashing twice...pause etc. Alarm does not work. Just wondering what the issue might be. Thanks. -Scott D.
