The GT500 motor is a 5.4L and is also drive-by-wire.

Also I believe the GT500 motor may sit a tad bit higher than ours.

Yup, 5.4 has a higher deck height, will need some hood relief for clearance.

I understand the Blower version of that engine will not fit due to Blower clearances.
Is that true?

There will be some minor fit issues w/wiper cowl and the hood w/any intake but if you have the $$, time and desire it could be done.

If you have the money anything can be done. You'll need to make mods so it fits under the hood with mods to the hood itself. The wiring haness would be ideal or you can get a wiring harness from Ford Racing, you'll also need a separate driver for the transmission.

What about a 03 04 cobra motor

Will work, but you'll either have to swap out the Cobra front skirt with the one off the MM motor or notch the frame to get clearance in one spot.

You will also have much lower compression and less horsepower with an 03/04 Termi motor.

You can build a stroker for less than the cost of an aluminator or an 03/04 cobra engine. The stroker will provide a lot more tq and mid range power and offer much better driveability.

I guess a question back to the OP, have you determined what's wrong with the current engine? It may be more economical to have it fixed rather than replaced, if the problem's not terminal.

With that alluminator motor.... All you have to do is swap the front cover and swap the 8 bolt from your old motor and your done???? Lookin into new motors myself. And The Terminator is only available from mustang forums?
