MM wheels
I have 8 but 3 are pending.......A couple of them had vary minor curb rash that i fixed and now they look sweet .......you might be able to tell if you get super close.......There might be 1-2 with vary minor teeny tiny itty bitty dings.......but most i would give a 9.....from 1-10

I also have 2 BF Goodrich tires that i think there the correct size for the rear with about 80-90%.....245/55/18

I purchased two of his near mint rims for $250 each plus the ride. I didn't haggle price because I was willing to pay premium for his near mint 9 out of 10 condition rims.

I paid him through paypal and he gave me tracking numbers for them.

Now it gets scandalous, after he receives the money and give me tracking numbers, he sends me a pm saying that I would probably have to take 1200 or 1500 grit sandpaper to them and hit them with mothers polish.
Why would I have to sand a rim and polish it if it is near mint, a 9 out of 10 condition?
I told him I'd like a refund because I was wanting near mint rims not his second that he was selling for a cheaper price.
His first solution was to send me sandpaper and mothers polish.

His second solution was to refund me $25.( the difference between his pricing on his two different condition rims he was selling.)

I tried to give him a chance, maybe these rims were not so bad, so I told him I would be patient and see what they look like.

I received them and one had black tar on the inside of rim in between where a tire would be seasted on each lip. Along with nicks and scrathes.

Then second rim looked good but after a closer inspection before I ended up returning them I found a weld spot on the inside about the three inches in diameter form who knows what?

After this I requested a refund through him.

Here is his exact words along with my earlier request:

I just received the rims today. One is good condition just like your post about a rim with no curbrash for 250. The other rim I received from you has a nick that I don't believe I can sand out. It would need to be ground down and filled by a professional that repairs wheels. It also has a black tar like substance on the inside of the rim, pretty thick and spread out. Per our original conversation about my purchasing two of your rims with no curbrash, You told me that is what I would pay for. I had no problem with your price and even rounded up to the $550. To me it looks like you sent me one of your good rims and one of your rims that has curbrash per your ad. Work with me here. My idea would be to refund my $274 for the one rim plus shipping to your house or refund my $274 and give me money to ship it to another one of your customers. What do you think? However we resolve this I would at least like my money back because this is not what you described to me that the rim would need to be repaired, sanded or whatever. Thank you.

Sorry for the inconvinance but its hard to explann the condition of rims that are all most 10 years old........But in my add i never said mint or flawless.....i said near mint.....I`m hopeing i don`t have to to do a refund because my unemployment stopped 3 weeks ago...This stuff is my only income...Too top it of i found out 2 month ago i have cancer and have to do keymo and radiation for the next 6-8 months.......and i have no insurance......

Yeah, I'm not the type to blast someone and I waited this long keeping my mouth shut but I hear he gets people more often now.

He just sent me a pm that he learned he has to mention every little thing in his ad. He is right especially when you sell for top dollar. $250 per rim.

And he describes them as near mint 9 out of 10.

But I guess we live and learn.
I would never do that to someone and people that know me here know that my stuff is pristine condition if it weren't I would specifically say it in my ad.

the floor area for the driver side was not what i was expecting but it was that big of a deal to me i had a friend that would take it off my hands just the way it was so i didnt really need to make a big deal out of it i reallly wanted the dash cluster more then anything! so dont worry it`s cool.

Thanks. PayPal refunded me and I shipped rims back. I was even willing to ship to another one of his customers for him.

Bottom line was to make this aware to our new members and also to clean the gutters up a bit. I've purchased thousands from members here and never had a problem.

I replied to his pm he sent me today. He does provide us parts for our cars and my brother is always on the hunt for impala parts also. I do give him credit for being more thorough in his ads for the description and condition of his items. I need MM parts also and end up having to find them myself so it is convenient for him to offer them like he does, it just got personal with the whole cancer thing and my father having it and all.

Maybe he can chime in, but its over and done with now. His business for discontinued MM parts is never-ending and an excellent idea. I wish him well.

Yeah I finally figured that out. So I put this thread in the community forum. I was reading his threads on parts as I could use a few but just have to sit them out and hope someone else has them to offer. Like I said he offers a great service to our community but without the dishonesty would he better. Hopefully he will come forward and we can clear everything up so he can continue to provide us with this service. I'm sure we can all learn from the DR episode and use that as a guideline to shape business transactions in an honest, easy, straightforward way.

And what is the weld spot on the other one? I called a shop in Orlando that repairs and polishes rims, they just did my buddies MM rims for $80 per rim. And his were no where near this bad condition. What do you want to do of the two options I proposed?

So did you really have cancer bigcowl?
Because to me that is not something you use to find pity from someone and even if you did, this was a business transaction and you don't bring your problems onto your end.

HIM:Hey 1 of the 2 rims that i sent you has 2 small minor scratchs.......i learned yesterday how to take scratches out......hopefully you have some 1200 or 1500 sand paper.......just lightly sand the scratch (lightly) then hit it with mothers polish 2-3 times......if it don`t go away do it again.....

ME:You set two prices for your rims. One price for rims with curbrash or scratches and one price for rims with no curbrash or scratches. You assured me that I payed for two rims that were flawless. Now are you trying to prepare me for a dissapointment when I receive my package. I f I felt like sanding scratches out of rims I would have bought your cheapers ones. I will be patient and receive my package but if I have to sand a scratch off, I need my money back.

Part two:

ME: I just received the rims today. One is good condition just like your post about a rim with no curbrash for 250. The other rim I received from you has a nick that I don't believe I can sand out. It would need to be ground down and filled by a professional that repairs wheels. It also has a black tar like substance on the inside of the rim, pretty thick and spread out. Per our original conversation about my purchasing two of your rims with no curbrash, You told me that is what I would pay for. I had no problem with your price and even rounded up to the $550. To me it looks like you sent me one of your good rims and one of your rims that has curbrash per your ad. Work with me here. My idea would be to refund my $274 for the one rim plus shipping to your house or refund my $274 and give me money to ship it to another one of your customers. What do you think? However we resolve this I would at least like my money back because this is not what you described to me that the rim would need to be repaired, sanded or whatever. Thank you.

Sorry for the inconvinance but its hard to explann the condition of rims that are all most 10 years old........But in my add i never said mint or flawless.....i said near mint.....I`m hopeing i don`t have to to do a refund because my unemployment stopped 3 weeks ago...This stuff is my only income...Too top it of i found out 2 month ago i have cancer and have to do keymo and radiation for the next 6-8 months.......and i have no insurance......

Now your to much of a coward to provide a solid truthful answer as to why you sent me your curbeashed rims and charged top dollar for them.

the floor area for the driver side was not what i was expecting but it was that big of a deal to me i had a friend that would take it off my hands just the way it was so i didnt really need to make a big deal out of it i reallly wanted the dash cluster more then anything! so dont worry it`s cool.

not at all! all i said was the the area where the heel pad was worn out and almost flat but never said it had holes.
