SACHS Part # 030840

I got these on Rockauto, they list them as OEM replacement. They are made in USA, and designed by a German parts maker so I thought they would be decen t quality. I didn't want to go with harsher shocks than factory so I got these for the rears.

Anyway they are much better than the worn out OEM shocks. Nice firm ride. They do not have dust boots like toiko but do come with all of the mounting hardware.

$53.00 each on rockauto. Would recommend them.

Wow great news & a great company on shock offering. Did you only inquire on rears ? I have always felt the rear oem shocks to hard unless I had an extra 200lbs in the trunk. Can you be a little more discriptive on the shock action compared to OEM.

Do they have an offering for the fronts?

Cool, good to hear someone else have positive things to say about Sachs - I felt like I was taking a bit of a gamble with them, but the specs and quality looked good...

My rears were worn out after 80K. The new ones feel - refined, cushy not harsh or too firm. The rear seems to sit about 1" higher with the new shocks on.

No unfortunately. I just found them by drilling down in Rock Auto online, with the MM as the parts car to search for. I ended up getting Monroe Severe Service up front. (not installed yet)
