Mrs. teamrope and I were thinking that the MM might look pretty hot with ghost flames.
I ran into one of our better custom paint shop owners at the machine shop I do all my business with, and had him take a look at my MM. Said it would run $2500.
Figured I’d get a second (or 45th) opinion. It will still be a while, I’ve got 2 other project cars I really need to finish first. :D

I think it would e awesome. But for that kind of $$ I would add performance instead. Would like to see it.

$2K - 2.5k is the going rate for most flame jobs in my experience.

I have been waiting to see a MM with ghost flames. I think a nice shade of blue or purple would be nice.

Maybe a bluegreyish w/ some white. the purple sounds nice too.but defiantly two tone flames..some type of picz to look at would be good to get an idea

That is allot of cash for something non-functional, but I would like to see it.
Maybe you should see what it would cost to paint the whole car and add the flames. After all it's only ford paint on there now. :)

IMHO if it's a Flame Job it should look like a Flame, i.e.,blue/yellow/orange/red!
The idea is to simulate the Flames that came out of straight pipes on V-8's, hence Flames on both sides.
Anythingelse is just graphics, doesn't mean it can't look fine, IMHO it's just not a :fire: Job.

Interesting you should say this. Ghost flames, although not my taste, are very popular here in Dallas. I seriously considered an accent of yellow/red traditional flames on my front fender. The "flamer" I had look at it talked me out of it. He said that a car that big needed massive flames to look right. Since I only wanted to trim the fender openings and sides of the headlights
I passed them up. The number one reaction I got when I talked flames to people was "did you consider ghost flames."
Man all I can say is I hope you go for it so we can all see what it looks like.
If you like it, then go for it.
