View Full Version : Calling owner of Black 2003 MM (VIN 634772)

I ordered an owner's manual from a seller on eBay and received the package today. As I was  and flipping through the contents, I discovered what I believe to be the original window sticker for VIN: 2MEHM75V93X634772.

If anyone here owns this car, or can find out who does (OASIS maybe?) :help:, I'd be happy to mail the sticker to the rightful/current owner. I know if my window sticker was out there somewhere, I'd sure like to have it.

I'd be looking in to the other items the ebay seller has online... kinda suspicious.

Wow! I'm not defending the eBay seller, per se, but he has ~8000 transactions with 100% positive feedback since 1999. He has an eBay store and only sells auto sales brochures, owner's manuals etc. He has ~400 automotive literature related items for sale right now and no cars.

I don't know where he gets the items he sells, but I sure hope he had nothing to do with the theft of this vehicle. Seems unlikely to me.

Should the owner pop up and want the sales sticker, my original offer still stands.

Would you consider selling it?

Doom - I'll consider it, but not ready to move it right this minute. Still hoping the original/current (legal) owner pops up.

I would contact the police in the jurisdiction the car was stolen from and notify them of what you found.

Your actions could prevent a fellow owner from getting their car stolen some day.

Just because someone has good eBay feedback doesn't mean they're not an auto thief.

If you have time for filing a report, please be my guest. I didn't run the Carfax and don't know where the car was stolen from. I agree that I don't want to see anyone's MM stolen, but I don't have the details.

As far as eBay feedback - I simply offered the anecdotal evidence that his feedback appears positive. If you want to take this up as a service to the community, I say go for it! Let me know what, if any information you need from me. I'd be happy to assist.

There would already be a report on file so it would just be a matter of making a few calls to figure out who agency filed the report.

Post a link to the auction and any personal information for the seller and I'll make the calls. You can PM me this if you don't want to post it.

Did the CarFax give a city and state where the theft took place?
