Check fuse #17.
See if you get power to the washer pump when activating the switch.

I have a good used switch for $60, that and an hour, and you are back in business.

Last time I changed mine (which ended up not being the issue and put the original one back in), I removed the lower driver dash panel, the top and bottom steering cover, unplugged a few connectors and I think there is a few bolt screws to take out and remove the switch. Installed is reversed.

I had the wacky wipers issue going on so I thought it was the switch, ended up being the wiper control module on the motor. Bought a new motor from Autozone and it came with a new wiper control module. It's been so long since it happened I believe I either put the old wiper control module on the new wiper motor or the new wiper control module on the old motor. I know I had to switch something up because the wipers were still not fully control correctly. I knew it wasn't the MFS when I hooked it up and put the wiper fuse back in and they still went crazy.

Why?
All depends on the cost of the switch, labor rate, etc.

I bought the switch from Ford and it was $75 back then. A mechanically inclined person could complete the task in less than an hour.
Part Number is: 3W1Z-13K359-BAB
Here is a video on the replacement.

I did not remove my lock cylinder, there was no need to.

The switch itself is $80.00 at autozone!
