Dang! Looks like Davie caught himself the Last Train to Clarksville...

I remember watching that show every week as a kid. Had their album and a model of the Monkeemobile (IIRC, was based on a '66 or '67 GTO 'vert).

RIP, Davie.

Yes, I remember the Monkees too and liked many of their songs.

R.I.P. Davey

BTW --- I wonder if they will fly the flags at half-mast in Florida for this singer like New Joisey did for WH?? Only fair right?

I'm a youthfully challenged 32 year old and I remember watching reruns of the Monkees religiously with my sister when we were little.... Davey was my favorite. RIP :(

"You once thought of me as a white knight on a steed
Now you know how happy I can be
Oh, and our good time starts and ends
With a dollar one to spend
But how much baby do we really need?" - Davie Jones, Daydream Believer

Yup, that's the one, Dave! Forgot it being S/C'd.

I remember when they were on, I watched to see the.....MONKEYMOBILE!!!
I saw it in a car show in the late 60s along with the
Paddy Wagon, the Red Baron, the Little Red Wagon, the Voxmobile, several of the Munster Cars, and the Spirit of America.

Safe travels Davey.

This was back when customs would come out and we would all go out and buy/build the model (and get glue on the windows). I remember when the Monkees came out and young folks today have no idea how big they were at the time. I think in 67 they sold more music than the Beatles and the Stones combined.

+1 to all of the above (durn windows were always a problem for me...)
