#1: Does anyone know the exact measurements of the long and short tailshaft tail housings of the 4R70W? (or have pictures)

#2: Is there more than one length output shaft? there is only one length and either housing could be used.

#3: Has anyone ever done the tailshaft bushing cooling mod on one of our transmissions?

I have a Lentech built transmission and a Dynotech driveshaft and 4.30 gears in my blue marauder. I noticed that I have lateral play in my in the driveshaft yoke where it exits the transmission. It seem to me that the yoke is not in the trans far enough. The current yoke has recessed splines and im thinking if I change the yoke to a fully splined yoke and change the tail housing bushing it might solve the driveline vibration that I have at approximately 65mph of higher when I am at very light throttle or in a transition to coasting.... I checked my U-joints and will probably change then as a precaution, but I'm thinking its the yoke or length of the dirveshaft.

Sounds like your thinking is dead on. Keep use posted.

Lenght of driveshaft will not be the case, without looking at it I would say check and change the u joints if needed then go from there. You won't need a new tailshaft housing unless is cracked.
Rear lube mod on the tailshaft is pretty easy to do. There should be pics somewhere in the site on how to do it.

I spent some time under the my blue mm tonight, my transmisson has the short tail housing(10" commonly found on mustangs), I thought our cars are supposed to have the longer one (11 3/4"). I'm going to order a tail housing: http://www.blueovalchips.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=74

I still need an answer to my second set of questions:

Is there more than one length output shaft? If there is only one length. Could either housing could be used?

Long output shaft with housing removed.

Not sure if it helps, but you could give lentech a call, Len is quite knowledgeable. When I ordered mine, I got him to build one with the long housing.

DDR also sells the tailshaft housing, just need to get the line for it.
