View Full Version : PPRV Delete?

Is this something that affects our cars with S/C as well? I read about this on a few mustang sites. It caused a hesitation or bog type affect when switching gears. Here is a pic of the PPRV inline with your fuel pump. The PPRV is the white valve connected inline with the hose.

I put in two of them, one for each pump.

You added another while everyone else is taking them out. I read that when removed it would make the car a tad bit harder to start like you would have to turn the key to on to prime the fuel tank then start it it get it to fire right up.

I think it is more of a problem on manual cars when you are off and on the gas during a shift. I don't know what they look like inside but I do think it is some kind of restriction. If you want to keep it, I like Brian's idea of having 2 so its less of a restriction to 2 pumps. It does crank a little longer without it. You want to crank the car while the pump is priming.
