Why would you want to knock your MM *down* to 200hp?
It's a red wire in a red box.

OBD II type tunes are the only thing you need. Forget about chips.

I'm looking into the xcal tuner but not so sure just yet I mean I wanna get it but I got some other things to take care of financially lol what kinda got me interested in this was the price I mean when someone says "gain 40+HP and 1-3mpg" for like $25....you would question its existence haha but idk its too good to be true I guess but no doubt imma go for xcal3 or the Diablo tuner sooner or later haha

I actually started off with a chip...It seemed to work pretty darn well, to be honest....
I think I still got it...
You want it?

For the benefit of newer members, let's review the difference between a real chip and one of the fake e-bay ones:
Real chips were around $300 with a proper tune from vendors like Dennis Reinhart and Lidio. They were the cat's ass before hand-held flash tuners were readily available.
The fake e-bay "chips" (or "performance modules") that sell for anywhere from $25 to $80 are nothing more than a 15-cent resistor that installs in the MAF/IAT harness to fool the PCM into thinking the incoming air is cooler than it really is and enrich the fuel mixture. Needless to say, they are NOT the cat's ass. Caveat Emptor.

I certainly won't argue the point that there is no comparison between a custom tune (hand held or otherwise) and a chip...Thank you, for the public service...;)
I'm simply being honest in saying that I, before I found this site and became educated on more options, went with a chip...since that was all I knew of at the time...:dunno:
My impressions are still quite positive from what I remember...sheesh, I have a hard time remembering yesterday...
Anyways...It did firm up the shift points, and ran better than stock...I ran it for @ 4 months...than I found this site and went with SCT...
Besides...I don't like cats nor their asses...:shake:
If he wants it...He can have it, since he's from Chicago...:D
Shout out to Takedown and HeavyHitter:beer::beer::beer:

Actually, there's no performance difference between a quality tune on a chip and the same tune in a hand-held. The primary difference is that the hand-held will allow you to modify parameters without having to remove the chip and send it back for a re-burn.
The fake e-bay "chips" have no tune at all, they just change a sensor input.

Thanks for your input...I do understand that...
For whatever it's worth...its not off E-bay...
I got it from Summit...
It's the Jet Performance - Ford Powertech Module p/t# 70303...
It worked better than stock...Honestly...

It does, I put 2 in mine, one for each side. I also installed some V Tec stickers on the mufflers. Of course, no performance package is complete without cross drilled brake lines, it is the ultimate performance upgrade.:D

Go with the fuel line magnet
Fuel economy tip: Hook four fuel line magnets up in series and your car will not only save fuel, it will actually start generating it....

I know a guy with a Chevy Volt. When he plugs it in to charge at night, if he starts the gas motor his electricity meter runs backward.
Oh wait, I lied. There's no such car as the Volt. :D
